Introducing: The Community Edition Project
KevinCyriacTom love this energy!
For anyone wanting to have a go at trying a 3D interpretation, this might help get you started! https://nothing.community/d/7224-phone-2a-3d-model-glb (3D is not mandatory)
What an amazing opportunity and I can’t wait to see all the submissions, across the different stages of this project. Let’s get creating community!
Natalie what a lovely initiative I hope I can cook up something out of nothing (pun intended
) but idk if I can submit like a rendering or a vedio which also I have something in mind, I just need the right skills person and resource which I don’t currently, so will be trying to put out in words let see how it goes.
this seems like a very cool idea.
I would like a small phone around 5 inches. maby a phone without the glyph interface, it cold be even cheaper. i like the colors on the nothing phone (2) so that will probably look good. the nothing software is what i like the most about the phons so mabty 8 years of software updates? and i would really like international shipping!
really exsited to see what you come up with hope to see it soon!
I think the community edition nothing 2a should be a bit more premium. One of the major complaints of the nothing 2a was it’s plastic back that easily gets scratched. Everyone is suggesting smaller version. I think 6.3 inches would be perfect. I am suggesting to bring metal frame plus glass back to that edition. Can we take other colors than white and black? Like navy blue or deep green?
Anyways some people find the camera placement a bit weird though. I don’t think it’s that much. Rather it’s cute. So we should stick with the design. But my request was to enhance the premiumness of the phone
peterrafael Yes, I always prefer the 6 inch screen size to anywhere around 6.2 inches, The Pixel 5 was the best size in the smartphone.

I would absolutely love to be a part of this. Does anyone know if you have to be 18 to enter?
I think that the Nothing Phone (2a) with a smaller screen (possibly the size of the iPhone 12/13 Mini) would be the most amazing thing from Nothing so far. Maybe a price of around $250 or 300 US? Same specs, same software, new colors, but smaller size. I would 100% buy that.
This is a good opportunity to build a stronger connection between your company and us the users. I would love to join the project, with one concern though. Will your team pay for the winners besides featuring the winner’s design with the official product launch? To me, this does sound like winners will get paid in exposure and I’m against unpaid work. I hope your team will be transparent with the prizes. Thank you!
Hi, can you elaborate on how to submit and via which ways? As for those not into designing much?
Just an idea in writing work?
NothingButTech ya same question cause i am 16 so can i help or not?
Great idea looking forward to submit some fresh ideas for marketing

tenuuneBaasanjav Imho the term “mini” is not fostering enthusiasm to pay 800+ bugs. Agree to the rest.
Show me a nothing device that’s TRULY TRANSPARENT
CURRENT smartphone- dolled up design
REAL TRANSPARENCY - to see the real pieces and parts that makeup the device AS THEY ARE, shouldn’t be pretty-
That’s transparency
Natalie
I might forget the design idea I have in my head so let me put it out there while I remember.
1. Make the power button ‘round’ and ‘transparent’ With an integrated LED notification embedded in the button, so people can know they got a notification when the phone is faced up. It will look lit.
2. For the flash, integrate it into the camera ring, and make it slightly lower than the camera glass to avoid glare. It will be the first of its kind and it can also become a part of Glyph.
- To make the cameras look like eyes, give some more separation, the cameras are way too close.
