  • Introducing: The Community Edition Project

I think the community edition nothing 2a should be a bit more premium. One of the major complaints of the nothing 2a was it’s plastic back that easily gets scratched. Everyone is suggesting smaller version. I think 6.3 inches would be perfect. I am suggesting to bring metal frame plus glass back to that edition. Can we take other colors than white and black? Like navy blue or deep green?

Anyways some people find the camera placement a bit weird though. I don’t think it’s that much. Rather it’s cute. So we should stick with the design. But my request was to enhance the premiumness of the phone

Natalie ✨ Okay, this is the coolest thing to have happened in this space. Absolutely looking forward to have a zip at it.

I would absolutely love to be a part of this. Does anyone know if you have to be 18 to enter?

I think that the Nothing Phone (2a) with a smaller screen (possibly the size of the iPhone 12/13 Mini) would be the most amazing thing from Nothing so far. Maybe a price of around $250 or 300 US? Same specs, same software, new colors, but smaller size. I would 100% buy that.

This is a good opportunity to build a stronger connection between your company and us the users. I would love to join the project, with one concern though. Will your team pay for the winners besides featuring the winner’s design with the official product launch? To me, this does sound like winners will get paid in exposure and I’m against unpaid work. I hope your team will be transparent with the prizes. Thank you!

Hi, can you elaborate on how to submit and via which ways? As for those not into designing much?

Just an idea in writing work?

tenuuneBaasanjav Imho the term “mini” is not fostering enthusiasm to pay 800+ bugs. Agree to the rest.

Show me a nothing device that’s TRULY TRANSPARENT

      CURRENT smartphone- dolled up design

REAL TRANSPARENCY - to see the real pieces and parts that makeup the device AS THEY ARE, shouldn’t be pretty-

      That’s transparency

        Natalie ✨
I might forget the design idea I have in my head so let me put it out there while I remember.

        1. Make the power button ‘round’ and ‘transparent’ With an integrated LED notification embedded in the button, so people can know they got a notification when the phone is faced up. It will look lit.

        2. For the flash, integrate it into the camera ring, and make it slightly lower than the camera glass to avoid glare. It will be the first of its kind and it can also become a part of Glyph.

        1. To make the cameras look like eyes, give some more separation, the cameras are way too close.
          Merged 1 post from Nothing 2a .

          SDGen2 ,

          256GB + expansion slot 1TB,

          RAM 8GB+

Nothing 2a body (We don’t do smaller phones),

          30-35k.

Natalie ✨ hi no one is talking about how hard to make a wallpaper is going to be or am I just a novice. Really great platform tho.

Natalie ✨ Remove the intestine like wiring of the 2A with something more interesting; and also a headphone jack with expandable storage. Also how about a new colour?
Something like Blue, but more darker and subtle?
All while keeping the prices the same.
Maybe UFS 3.1 too? Also how about the IP ratings from IP54 to IP68?
Also maybe 4+ years of software updates too… instead of 3?
Also happy to get Pixel 5 sizes too; if not that’s no issue :=)

If you can accomplish this; you have earned my respect; because in all other ways, the Phone 2a is just flawless..

          Natalie ✨

So we are talking changing colours etc and not a complete new redesign?

altering the specs slightly to fit a theme and not a resizing of the case?
