A smaller phone (around 6 inches) with flagship specs would be awesome from Nothing!
Introducing: The Community Edition Project
To what extend can the hardware be modified? Do the internal components remain the same?
Haha, love it. Why pay designers when you can get others up design it for freeeeee
Seems like a nice opportunity to showcase some of the creative ideas. Looking forward to it. <3
Hmm, that’s truly an industry first!
Can we submit UI designs and potential new features?
This is such an incredible oppurtunity! This is the ultimate way of getting the community involved and recognising talent. Also how amazing would it be to be able to say “yep, i helped design that product”
Really incredible. Can’t wait to see this play out.
This is amazing opportunity for the community members. Kudos to the team for pulling it together, just curious to know if we could do this as a group? I am asking this because it’d be great too pool in the talent, bring in a fair play to balance the disadvantage of not knowing some tools and software.
Wow seems like fun. Actually in my own mind I’ve kind of guessed it and it came out to be quite true. #excited
guys for the first stage what software to use plz help!!!!
VaradKendre Whatever you like, our brief for the first stage will be fairly open! A sketch, an image or even a written description…it’s all about the idea!
VaradKendre Doesn’t have to be any software in particular! As described it can be anything from a written idea to a full 3d model. Just showcase your idea with passion
can we participate as a team of two?
Should I buy the 2a right now or hold off and wait for the community product
Hardware design means? just the back side of the phone or internals too?
Really excited to work with community
UnboxParadigm Yeah, good question… And does the size format remain the same? I mean if it’s already called “Phone (2a) Community Edition” I feel like most things will stay relatively the same.
Would be nice to hear more details about the “Stage 1 Hardware Design”, as the rest of the 3 stages are clearly just design and marketing related.

Rob Thanks, just a small question: is the headphone jack is allowed or not because people like it and companies don’t put it, so can we include it or not?
