Nothing Watch with Wear OS

Yep it would be great… But the level of expertise that needs to be acquired is enormous… Even google took years and years to release a smartwatch. So I don’t think we’ll a Nothing premium smartwatch soon.

I knew that Nothing’s sub brand cmf makes the smart watches.. is there any possibility for upcoming smart watch - a real smart watch- from nothing runs on wear os?

I’ve been using the Apple watches since the first gen up to the Ultra, I switched to an Oppo Wear OS, then a Samsung Galaxy Watch6 Classic, and now the CMF Watch Pro 2, so I think I have a good understanding of these devices, also I was a backer for the Kickstarter Pebble Watch, and I have used AsteroidOS on the Oppo watch.

I know people will disagree, but I think WearOS is rubbish, and Apples WatchOS is not far behind it, they suck literally on power, and are trying to do to many things, and none of them well, after buying the CMF watch, I have sold off all of my previous watches, just like I sold off my Air Pod Pro’s after buying the Ears2, the CMF watch is almost perfect, it’s low cost, its fast, way faster than the other watches, its battery lasts longer, and does all you will ever need a watch to do.

I think putting that bloated Android derivative on a watch is just silly, what Nothing has done, is far more suitable for a watch, we just need the watch to work, and get out of the way, not bug me with stupid voice assistants, silly apps that are horrible to use, batteries forever going flat, also the Android watches are far to overpriced as they need more powerful tech in them to work.

Id prefer to see them develop what they have done further, make it more polished, and very selective about what they put on it as I have moved over to these products due to them being clean, fast, feature packed, no bloat, and minimal data collection

The Nothing watch really only needs a few more things, some sort of task switching capacity so you can check the time or weather while using a workout app, it also really needs a basic MP3 player, some limited storage for MP3’s and at least the ability to play directly to your Nothing ear buds, last thing it needs is a simple game, or a small selection, like snake, tetris or something similar, and it would make the watch perfect, maybe if they make a Nothing branded one, it will have these extended features, but for the most part, I’m sold on this watch how it is, and if it was WearOS I would not be happy with it at all, as you need to use Googles BS services in order for it to even work, all of the exercise/workout things are just horrible with Googles software, and Samsung is just as bad, the CMF app is straight to the point and just works so much better IMO.
