Same here . I have a fast charger 64W and i tried charging Nothing 2A it took me more than 3 hours from 0-100% .

Even though is says charging rapidly with fast charger .

Please address this issue .

I have the same problem. The (2) fully charged with 45 watts. The 2a only gets 25 watts for me. 45 is a lie.

I tried charging with the other charger as well which was not 64w and it took me 2 and half hours to charge from 0 to 100..

johannes_m I’m planning to buy the new Nothing Phone 2A, but I don’t plan to buy any charger separately, which is of CMF and costs around 2700/- almost. I’ve got the regular Xiaomi charger of my old Xiaomi 11i Hypercharge which is of 67watts. So, instead of investing on a new type-c charger can I buy a type-a to type-c adapter convertor and use it with my old Xiaomi charger and then use the type-c cable of nothing to charge my phone. will it affect the speed in charging?? will it have any impact on the battery life?? How will if it does have any impact on the Nothing Phone 2A???

Same cable charges my other phone in 50 min with 5000mah battery 0-100% when used with 64W Xiaomi power adaptor .

Nice information, but don’t help anybody if you don’t tell which phone and which exact charger.

As already mentioned you need a PD (Power delivery) charger and cable.

Sure with different technology for a different phone the fast charge work with this cable.

You guys claim 2a supports 45watt PD charging ..but i am using 100 watt amazon basic charger but its taking around 1.45 hr to charge from 0 to 100 percentage..R u guys seriously providing 45 watt charging or it just a marketing gimmick..

MrDeja bro first of all check whether the charger’s port provides 45w charging even though it’s a pd charger before buying it and use the cable provided in phone’s box or try using nothing phone 2a’s charger or cmf’s 65w charger then talk about that gimmick

im facing the same issue…using Nothing Charger 45W…it wrote charging rapidly but time taken is 3hours….if plug and unplug saveral times..it will recognize and 100% within 1 hour…

I’m loving phone 2a so far.

The downside I see is charging speed. I have used my MacBook Pro’s adapter and nothing type C USB cable to charge the phone 2a but it took more than 2h to charge the phone from 33 to 100% while it was on rapid charging mode.

Is this expected? Despite supporting 45w fast charging is it supposed to take this much time or something is wrong?

I did monitor, it seems to be charging at the same speed. around or more than 2h.

Update: I’ll try again and post here after updating to latest build which said to be fixing charging issue.

Which exact charger and cable? Maybe the issue is on your side and not on the phone.

Yo I’m using Nothing’s own 65W CMF Gan charger to charge my 2a but the phone is still not charging at optimal speeds. It’s going from 54 to 72 in half an hour as opposed to what the company claims. Is it not compatible with their own charger which was available at a discount bundle when purchasing the phone? It’s displaying “charging rapidly” but isn’t doing so.

AaronnShybz im using samsung 25 watt fast charger and it takes about an hour to charge my phone. slow charging only occurs when phone temprature goes above 37-38 degree. try to make your phone cool down before placing it to charge and check.
