akku95 Many people. It’s easier to access in device while also having a backup on Google photos.

They’ll improve the performance more with the upcoming updates. After 2-3 months everyone will recommend NP 2a over other phones.
Also, I always bet on the driver (Team Nothing), not the car (device). 👀😀😎

Pepsibear exactly same issue in Spain, where it is also legal and Nothing OS 2.5.4 broke it.

I’m going to try again! Could you add to the camera app of the Nothing Phone 2 the option to use a USB-C external microphone? This way, I could improve the sound quality in the videos. I wouldn’t have to use an external app like GCam. It’s true that the style is minimalist, but the camera app is disappointing.

johannes_m it’s true, disable the Google photos app and install “simple gallery pro”. After that click photos and preview it, the photo processing is snappy.

Y’all really made me believe i was wrong with such high confidence 🤦🏻‍♂️

Sambhrant what if your device reset for some reason or u need to reset device for some reason.how u gonna recover all your precious photos?

akku95 It’s already recommended to backup everything manually before a reset🤷🏻‍♂️ and besides do you trust the quality of your photos that’s backed up there or do you not create a separate backup somewhere else too?

After updating to Nothing OS 2.5.4, my phone’s battery back up has been gradually reduced. The below screenshot is mostly used with wifi and no intesive gaming. Before the update the phone has been getting almost 7-7.30 hours of screen on time. Kindly make a solution for this in the upcoming updates - Thank You

CARLos PEIter If you haven’t already, charge it to 100% and leave it, idle without using it, charging for an extra 2 hours or so. System should be fully optimised again after that update and this may improve you battery performance. It’s what I always do with any phone after each update and I got 7 and a half hours of SOT yesterday with around 25% left (though SOT is subjective and not a good measurement).

Not sure if it is just the Phone 2a, but VoLTE seems to be buggy. Many people are experiencing the same issue, and especially in S.Korea, SK Telecom carrier users are experiencing 1) calldrop 2)unable to call others while picking up the call is working 3)many other volte call related problems. Hope it gets fixed soon as it is a critical one.

As Phone 2a officially launched in S.Korea, I thought there wouldn’t be a problem with registering the device but it requires additional work with the carrier services (registering the device ID, IMEI manually to make 5G connection work). It’s quite a hassle to do so, and I am quite dissapointed with Nothing as it seems the company has done zero communication testing in our country. If Nothing contacted carriers prior to the launch of the product, there wouldn’t have been a problem.

I seriousy hope Nothing to take a closer look at this issue and solve it asap.

Vengadesh_01 absolutely mate…it’s evident on speaker at Max volumes

This gives a sense of vulnerability.

Please include this basic yet important thing in the next updateNothing OS

These are my personal hand-on feedback and experience of my Nothing Phone (2a) 8GB/128GB which i bought in Soho, Central London post 2.5.4 update after a full seven days of use:

          1. Processing of photos could be faster (for a 12MP size photo)

          2. Swapping / transition between camera lenses when taking photos could be a bit smoother

          3. 4G and Wi-Fi network speeds and connectivity needs more optimisation - very erratic and patchy, reconnecting to a network i.e. from 4G to home Wi-Fi is slow (despite in an area with very fast Wi-Fi and 4G area in E13 London). It feels like the speeds are actually being throttled.

          4. Battery standby and endurance needs more optimisation - I don’t believe in standby time benchmark but this could be better

          5. Playing a recorded video on Google Photos sometimes takes frustratingly long - Needs optimising (even if it’s in 1080p/60 format)

          6. App opening and loading STILL needs to be more faster (Culprits are Google Photos and YouTube so far but have noticed a mixture of some of my news/weather/note-taking/productivity apps)

          7. Colour saturation in main and ultra wide still needs more refining/ dialling down - colours still appear a wee bit strong

          8. More glyph lights customisations especially in terms of giving us the ability to use the glyph lights on ANY notification & ringtones (assigned to a contact) that have been downloaded off an app such as Zedge via Google Play Store or via messaging apps such as Whatsapp, Telegram, MS Teams, etc.

          9. Dark mode randomly turns off for no apparent reason at any time of the day or task that I’m doing - BUG ALERT!

This has happened at least three time once a day in the past three days of use.

          10. Link to changelog of latest update in the Device Info page under Settings (similar to One UI).

I like the phone with its great speakers, sharp display, decent battery life and the quick updates. But I’m beginning to be frustrated with the Nothing OS UI & UX as it needs more refinements, optimizations and updates.

I also do not like the heftiness and size. it could have been much slimmer and smaller to distinguish itself from the flagships.

I do hope Nothing is listening and reading all these feedback as this will make or break the success of the Phone (2a).

The Pixel 7a exists (and the Pixel 8a is incoming) and the Galaxy A-series have also arrived. This is your chance to give everything you got.
