Our YouTube series is back and this time, we’re giving you an insider look into the ups and downs of the journey to launching phone (1). You can’t miss it. It’s packed with insights into what the team has been doing up until now, and showcases the individual characters inside the relentless machine that Nothing is. I won’t spoil it, have a look for yourself here.

Nothing Series. Your eye behind the scenes of Nothing.

Ah @Heru has done a great job. First minute was fascinating. Great work by the team.

And we can also see that the team is working day and night managing work life balance. Desperate times.

All the best to the entire team for phone (1) launch and I’m looking forward for these kind of video series 🙏

Alpaca_Tech

Others have said it earlier, but what a fantastic video. I love these behind the scene views of what’s happening at Nothing.

Busy time for Tom. He’s juggling a new product release, a baby on the way, and a house renovation all at the same time 😆 I gotta say I’m pretty jealous of the beautiful location he lives at by the lake in Sweden. It’s such a gorgeous area and a great place to raise a child. He even gets to bring his dog to work?! Is there a better place to work than this? 🤣

Aki has such a beautiful family as well and Athena is so photogenic!

Can’t wait to see the next chapter 🙂

I love this video and the way it’s been produced! Nice to see further insight into Nothing and the journey. Really had me hooked throughout, love the black and white feel too. Can’t wait for the next episode and the rest of the series!

I hope Nothing continues to produce content like this in future, even once they’re a massive company. It’s very valuable

Rudi phone (1) is really looking ravishing, can’t wait to get it in hands

Rudi All this talk of the community at the end has my heart warm ❤️

Another cracking video! I love the moments of jeopardy! It’s so interesting to see what’s going on behind the scenes.

Kastello

Another excellent episode! Love the transparency between Nothing and Community. Lots more excitement is on the way! Also loved the early sightings of some of the widget designs!

The possibly blurred out a black version 🤔 at https://youtu.be/_LrUgXCjYR8?t=463. What do you think?

This new episode of the Nothing adventures shows us that not everything is easy, and that to have a result as exciting as this new Phone(1), taking into account the desiderata, the constraints, etc., one must know how to manage, and this film shows it very well.

All this makes us love the Nothing team even more ❤️, and we are really looking forward to Phone(1).

Tamim

I love how calm the design review meetings are with suppliers/collaborators, especially in the face of deadlines!! Design meetings can get out of hand in the face of pressure and yet this was extremely humane. Really awesome!!

End product looks great and I bet the team must be thrilled as it comes together. Can’t wait to see more, can’t wait for release!! Well done Nothing!!

Was the invite system mentioned Stock X early sales or hinting towards an invite based initial sale?

MohdIsmail

So we are the one who can purchase phone one earlier than other people 😉

StockX is having an open auction (for phones numbered 1-100), whereas what the team describe in the video is an invite system that grants “people who deserve it the most” (i.e. early supporters/investors of Nothing) the first opportunity to buy phone (1), before it is available to the general public. The invite system is felt necessary because Nothing may not be able to manufacture enough phones to meet early demand. It also helps create an air of exclusivity, which will (hopefully) be supported with headlines of the phone selling out at launch (albeit a limited pre-launch).

Keeping my fingers crossed for an invite. 😇

I love Nothing for sharing these videos, showing the efforts, commitment, struggles and team work involved in making phone(1) happen. The videos make me feel involved, part of this adventure. I can’t wait to learn more - great work Nothing keep it up!

Alpaca_Tech

Mind_of_Marc Oh my. The black would look absolutely incredible, especially if you could change the color of the lights to something else like a dark blue.

Alpaca_Tech

I got a screen grab of the quick tile panel

Also showing it will use Google Phone and Messages, but a custom camera app

Also the phone codename is Spacewar? 🤣

Vinayak

Mind_of_Marc I wonder if they have other colour options too, apart from White and (maybe) Black. It’s hard to say becuase the entire video is in Black and White, I was thinking perhaps a multi-coloured version like the Subway maps they were inspired by where every component is a different colour?

Ankit Gondalia

Mind_of_Marc

Found one without the blur! They’re indeed working on a black version!
