The lockscreen gestures are a convenient way to control thedevice without looking at it. For example, drawing a ‘>’ changes the music forward, a ‘<’ changes it backward, a ‘V’ switches on the glyph light, and an ‘O’ starts the video camera. I hope to see this feature implemented in the next version of the operating system.

I wish we could have a phone clean app from NOS.

Required and Wishlist of Nothing OS 3.

  • Introduce blur effect in simple elements instead of greyout in screen elements like (Password entering area having a blur background of lockscreen)
  • Haptics in different UI Elements like opening apps, closing apps in recents, volume slider etc.
  • Clear all button in bottom of the screen of recents page (but it’ll be good)
  • As per the teasers, implement a new, cleaner, notification shade with control centre, and don’t implement separate notification and control centre. (make it real if that’s a concept)
  • Settings page need a refinement, with addition of grey-scale, (if possible implement automation functions which is found similar in Samsung)font customisation, nothing theme elements dot matrix icons and font.
  • For hidden app icon, allow secure (fingerprint) access (as implemented from Android 9 to Android 10 in OXygen OS that time)
  • Lock screen too, implement it as like the teased preview of nothing OS 3 (make it real if that’s a concept)
  • Apps like Nothing Notes, Calculator, Gallery, Dialer, Messages, Contacts, Gallery(much needed), File Manager(much needed).. update the OS in initial version of these apps, then send updates in Google play store like other nothing apps.
  • App speeds are already good. Animations are smooth as well. Maybe if you can add a jumping icon animation opening from home screen.

Wishlist

  • Try to bring circle to search feature.
  • Please get more customisation features in launcher.
  • Any new glyph features are most welcome.
  • Those apps mentioned above, please ensure that it is nothing themed and feature rich.

  • Nothing clock and calendar

  • Aligned notification bar and additional features to give and customise own space ie: WiFi and Bluetooth space to be reduced.

I feel like nothing phones are too unique to have just a normal battery and status bar icons I feel like they could be more redesigned to match the overall theme and prosthetics of the phone maybe some dotted icons or customisation to make them look more unique

I’d be really glad if the next update brought a widget to switch btw 60 & 120 hz in the lock screen. Just to save battery in the crucial times or at night.

    Hi all, how to hide notification icon on the status bar? I dont want to make it as silent notification as i need it to send alert. I just want a clean status bar without any app icon. Can somebody suggest to Nothing Support to include setting to hide all notification app icon in the next update? Thank you.

    Add Please add to the update nothing os 3.0, calendar. I think this would also be important, because Google calendar is not convenient for everyone, and some simple, understandable and original in the style is okay, everyone would like it!

    There are some missing features in this phone

    1. When the battery goes below 6% to 5% there is no warning that i have low battery. My phone has switched off so many times because of this.
    2. The implementation of essential glyphs is incomplete when i have important missed calls.
    3. The stock android dialer is bad and goes against the aesthetic of the UI.
    4. For some reason my cameras are always dirty when i open the camera app including the front camera (they are clean most of the time).
    5. The Nothing OS in this iteration is just a skin sometimes i feel i am using a normal stock android phone (Nothing should improve the UI).
    6. For some reason VoNR switches to VoLTE whenever i call no matter where i am. It is showing VoNR right now however it will switch to VoLTE when i call someone.
    7. There’s no pedometer for a lock screen widget. Why? Its the most obvious place.
    8. An option for limiting charging my phone so it stays below 100% and option to take care of the battery health.
