Nothing OS Wishlist (2024)

Here are some changes I ‘d love to see:

·        The ability to add and remove glyph timer presets.

·        The ability to start the timer without laying your phone down.

·        The ability to silence your timer without unlocking your phone. For example, with the standby key (like phone calls)

·        The ability to force third party widgets to become black and white, as you did with other third party app icons.

·        A nothing OS designed keyboard.

·        Overall, more consistency with the nothing design. For example, doted font inside the weather app and widgets.

·        The ability to turn the icon background colour into true black and not just dark grey (dark grey makes my OLED display sad)

·        The ability to change the rectangular music player on the lock screen to a square music player (like the nothing music player widget)

·        Doted icons for app groups are amazing. We need more of them or the ability to draw our own.

·        The ability to apply doted nothing icons on single apps instead of just app groups.

·        The ability to see the charging progression with your glyphs.

Hi, for the past few months I have been a bit fustrated that I can not change the font of the clock on my lock screen from the pixel style dots to something that suits my style. Is it possible you guys could add that feature to the next OS update (I am on Phone 1). Also would love to have third party app widgets on lockscreen if possible.

I’m a big fan of your innovative designs, clean software, and impressive camera quality. I’m considering upgrading to the Nothing Phone 2a, but there’s one feature that holds me back: the ecosystem capabilities.

My friend’s Motorola Edge 40 has features I find essential:

1. Desktop-Like Mode: When connected to a TV, the phone switches to a computer-like UI.

2. PC Connectivity: The ability to connect the phone to a PC and run apps independently.

These features significantly enhance productivity and entertainment. Integrating similar functionalities into Nothing Phone would be a game-changer and attract users who value both design and robust functionality.

Are there any plans to introduce such features? Your response will help me and many others make a more informed decision.

Can somebody help me how to set up the volume buttons to respond to ringer volume instead of media volume by default?

Features expecting in next OS update,

1. Autobrighteness - quick settings
2. Data usage - daily data usage under the data tile (currently shows for monthly data used)
3. Authentication to turn off the phone
4. Nothing gallery
5. Nothing dialer
6. Nothing messages
7. The screen refresh rate should be varied (most of the time it remains 120. If it was varied based on the usage means there will be also a possibility for efficient battery usage)
8. New look for quick tiles by nothing design language (currently a bit feel of pixel device)

Hey Team Nothing,

I would like to have the feature seamless connectivity between the watch and the buds. Calling from watch should have the feature to redirect the audio to buds.

Im from India. News reporter widget is a good idea. Good work Nothing. It could be even better if you people added the different language and local news of that specific country . Looking forward for future updates .

Ashu that would be cool to have an AI reporter reading our local news from AI-Crunched data.
