Hey folks, I bought cmf phone 1. It was good phone can’t complain about it. But wanna add one suggestion, I currently use iPad mini 5 and previously used Mi note 11 pro; ever in my usage I never manually pressed volume up/down button because it has volume slide in the control centre. It would be great ‘nothing’ add volume slide in the control centre😉

I’ve got my hand’s on nothing phone 2a and I love that phone I’ve love that os too but the only problem I have with this os is that I know nothing vision is to create tech which can fade away in the background and I totally loved it but tbh I would love to see a bit of colour in my life and I spent my precious time on my phone and I would love to see something which might be a bit enjoying and something with full of life I think the app icon is great on it’s own but I would love to see another redesigned app icon by nothing which will be a good addon in the software for the people like me as as an self taught ui designer myself I’ve crazy idea’s for this os i would love to be part of this wonderful community to buil a phone which I enjoy and I’ll help others to enjoy it too

A very strange thing I have noticed.

The screen lights up for a second or two when a notification comes. This is fine.

But when AOD is turned on, the black screen is turned on for almost eight seconds, this reduces the effectiveness of AOD. Can you please keep it back to a second and then revert to the left side clock and icons on the same?

Hint: You may check for the same effect on samsung phones, running os 5.1 or above.

Try to add the following features in Nothing OS 3.O

A side bar for easy accessing essential apps in pop up window. It helps a lot in multitasking.
Double tap to wake the lock screen. The single tap to wake up the lock screen is creating some mess with accidental touches while holding the device tends to wake the screen unnecessarily. It also triggers the functioning of nothing lock screen widgets causing problems .
Enable a password protection for accessing the hidden apps menu.
Optimize the refresh rate optimization scenario. For E.g., while applying auto refresh rate settings in phone 2a, still the lock screen and AOD keeps refreshing at 120Hz and it’s causing a lot of battery drain.
Improve the shutter lag that’s happening in Phone 2a and CMF phones. In an outdoor environment on a Sunny day these shutter lags are making evident problems while capturing some shots. Also optimize the photo processing speeds.

CARLos PEIter please mention nothing phone 2 in the shutter lag bullet point, there is significant shutter lag while taking more than 2 photos in nothing phone 2, I am nothing phone 2 user btw

It already exists, open the settings app -> Display -> Adaptive Brightness

We need a more customizable launcher or options to use 3rd party launchers without stutters ( eg in One ui it’s implemented better tho there’s an inherent android problem)

Add the option to customize the two large boxes to be any notification bar tile you want. Would be nice of it wasn’t permanently Internet Connection and Bluetooth.

Here is my wishlist:

Sound mixer. I mean we should listen two sound source at once with sound mixer. Their sound level must be changeable with multi slider. Xiaomi and Samsung have this(maybe other brands).
Same audio output for multi connected bluetooth earphone audio. Sometimes i want to listen or watch someting with someone else in public area. This feature is really useful.
Side panel for easy accessing apps. It can enhance multitasking feature.
Widget stacks. Stackable widgets save a lot of space on home screen.
Improved floating windows. Floating app must be resizable and minimazable a icon. More than one multi window floating apps also be good. Xiaomi and Samsung have this, probably some other brands too.
Status bar icon shifting for preventing amoled screen burn-in.
Custom refresh rate for apps. I generally use dynamic refresh rate but for some 3rd party apps i want to use 120hz for because of increased smoothness. Mostly for scrolling heavy social media apps and internet browsers.

Other than that. it will be really good if we will have Samsung like routines system. Tasker or similar apps don’t work like with without root due to system access restrictions. I also want to mention battery charge limit but it was already implementen for devices. I assume it will come for 2a.

give us some update by including feature like focus mode that doesnt give access to phone apps, notifications and keeps the phone in locked state for stipulated time we need that badly. Many like that feature, please bring that to next nothing update.

In nothing launcher:

Pls provide an option to create folders! I can still create in the home screen but coming from the Nova, i would like to keep the home screen experience bit minimal and love to see if i can organize similar type apps in the app drawer in a form of folders. Thanks!

I would like to suggest a widget that can sort of work like an alarm(when turned on) and let us know when the phone has charged a certain threshold or fully charged To prevent overcharging.

I always get my phone overcharged so I thought this would be a fine idea to improve battery life.
