Spike One security mechanism must be added in hidden app drawer, fingerprint/pattern/pin code like other custom UI have in their phones otherwise it becomes very easy for anybody to add or remove apps from hidden app drawer just by going through the home screen settings even if he/she doesn’t know that right swipe opens up the hidden app drawer. These basic features added by Nothing is much needed and appreciated .. but needs some refinement.

  1. Auto brightness Toggle (much needed)
  2. Password Security to access hidden app icons (much needed)
  3. App lock pin/pattern must be different from device lock.
  4. Separate wifi and mobile data toggle. ( if possible)
  5. Smart side bar

Merged 1 post from Auto Brightness toggle in Status bar.
  1. Better (read: musical) ringtones that come pre-synced with glyph lights. The current “natural” ringtones and notification tones serve no purpose.
  2. The 2.5 update ruined it’s camera. CAMERA UPDATE IS NEEDED FOR PHONE 1. THIS IS NON NEGOTIABLE.
  3. The cameras should get better color reproduction and better focus to deliver sharper and crispier images.
  4. Lockscreen notifications sometimes get stuck or lose their size, especially the older notifications that haven’t been checked for sometime.

My wishlist:

Ability to turn off the dot matrix font and use Normal ones like in pixel and even more fonts.

Battery health like in iPhone

Switching apps using gesture bar swipe is buggy. It just switches between 2-3 apps and keeps repeating those apps.

Calendar widget

Optimize apps like Snapchat and all games to run at 120hz although the app developers also needs to play a big part. I hate to use 60hz now.

Nothing style music and video player.

Ability to hide and show status bar icons

They can also work on something like the dynamic island unlike what OnePlus or Realme did.

Better wallpapers

Lockscreen widgets like iPhone

Just a standalone Game dashboard and nothing else matter.Just a functional solution to use NP2 max ability and performance in games. I have a very rare problem with Game mode (that I create a thread for that) & I just want to have a better experience in games.

it would be nice if the icons on the home screen could not only be changed to 4 or 5 columns, but also extended to 6. This would provide a better overview.

If I use two large widgets on one screen, the distance between the two would be smaller and more could be displayed.

    Icon size

On many phones that I have used from OnePlus so far, the icon size can also be set even smaller. I prefer rather small icons.

Battery Optimization: Since the update to NOS 2.5.2, I’ve noticed a significant increase in battery drain. It would be greatly appreciated if you could investigate and optimize battery performance in future updates.

Camera Improvements: Nighttime photography suffers from unclear and dark images, especially when there are background lights. Additionally, daytime photos can appear unclear in some lighting conditions. Addressing these issues would significantly improve the camera experience.

Advanced Audio Controls: A built-in OEM equalizer with additional sound enhancement tools would be a valuable addition. Third-party apps often lack the quality and customization options compared to native solutions.

Dialer & SMS App: While Google’s apps are generally functional, I would personally prefer a more user-friendly and visually appealing dialer and SMS app similar to those offered by Apple and Samsung.

App Data Control: The ability to restrict background and foreground data access for individual apps, similar to features found in HyperOS, ColorOS, or FunTouch OS, would be a great addition for managing data usage.

E-warranty & Phone Status: An option to view the E-warranty card and activation status directly under the phone status settings would be convenient for managing warranty information.

Advanced Gallery App: A built-in “Nothing Gallery” app with advanced features like image editing and organization tools would be a welcome addition.

Charger & Audio Adapter: Bundling a charger and a Type-C to 3.5mm headphone jack adapter would be a user-friendly addition to the phone package.

E-warranty Card: The E-warranty card with a physical copy would be more convenient for some users who prefer physical documentation.

Focus on Improvement: I believe that prioritizing user feedback and promptly addressing device shortcomings is crucial for long-term success. While brand ambassadors can be valuable, focusing on resolving user concerns and implementing improvements will solidify your brand reputation

Note for Moderators: Please refrain from merging this post with others. Keeping it separate will ensure the team can effectively address my specific feedback.

Bhai Please look into this on priority.

Hey, could you please post this discussion in the ‘Nothing Wishlist’ section?

This isn’t just an improvisation request; it’s a feature suggestion for future updates.

      Hey 👋

Thank you for taking the time to post your thoughts and suggestions in detail.

While I do appreciate your comment, I have merged your post as it’s mostly feature requests.

As this is a community platform, this is a great place for discussion, but the best way to get your suggestions and feedback to the team is by reporting it via Settings > System > Feedback.

Derren This message is not simply feedback, but a serious call to action. For the past six months, I’ve endured persistent issues with my Nothing Phone, and now, my patience has worn thin.

I consolidated my experiences into a detailed post on the community forum, sparking discussion and proposing solutions. However, Nothings’s complete silence regarding this critical topic is utterly unacceptable.

Is tagging the CEO truly the only way to get a response? Yes it is! This is not a game where moderators dole out “warnings and strikes” for valid user concerns.

My post addressed numerous software and hardware shortcomings plaguing the Nothing Phone, issues that directly impact user experience. Company’s silence implies a disregard for customer base.

Be warned. If the Nothing team continues to ignore user feedback and prioritize moderation tactics over addressing core issues, then it risk a significant backlash from the community.

Demand an immediate response outlining a clear plan to address these problems. My concerns, and those of others, deserve serious attention.
