I’m curious to know what’s going on in your mind. Given that nothing phone’s design is unique and don’t forgot the light strips behind. With all that in mind did anyone think of the possibility of using a case?
Would you buy a case for nothing phone(1)

I think that if there will be a cover for the mobile it will have an aesthetic similar to the phone (1), obviously if nothing comes to have that product. In any case, I think they will be based on collaborations. I have to say that I would like them not to be transparent since over time they turn yellow and it looks horrible
saikiran_E1IAeItSgu nice topic! Personally, I wouldn’t just for the design aesthetics. I usually only have a case to protect my phone, but all my phone’s have been boring and nothing special to look at.
What we’ve seen so far from phone(1) is that there’s A LOT to show off, why hide it? 
I would be interested in some kind of bumper for the sides maybe 
Totally depends upon heating of the phone as i have already experienced in my Samsung S21 putting a cover heats the phone more in simple thing like using camera . Without case Its less si totally depends to heat dissipation of a phone . We need to check it in real life if cases are needed or not .

As AlejandroPalacios pointed out in his reply, I think Nothing must have planned something along these lines which should keep some of the aesthetics of the smartphone in view and at the same time protect it.
Something I do now after my HTC U11 broke. Especially since I use my smartphone during my MTB rides. But then I would use my OP7T which is equipped with a transparent armed case.

As soon as I get a new phone I put it in a case, would have to be a transparent one for this one though. Like to go without but just know I’d break it (or my daughter would), especially if it has a curved screen. Samsungs with curved screens seem prone to getting black circles at the edges of the screen, caused by impact I assume.

Did you imagine that it was not the Phone(1) that was unveiled, but precisely the Phone(1) with its protective case.
Indeed, if you take a closer look at the pictures, especially the complete view with the green parrot, and when you remove everything around, I find that there is a lot of polystyrene plastic.
After that, it’s only an impression, which is mine.

No matter what I’ll use a case, I just like to protect my devices. Bumper would be my first choice but that are tough to find a nicely made one.
I’ll also for sure but a clear film protector to go on the back and sides to protect from scratches.
I probably will put a transparent case on it, just like I do with all my phone’s.

I’m very skeptical about this. I want to show the original device as well but kind of make sure that it stays safe from scratches etc. I didn’t put any cover for my ear (1) but now when I see it has a lot of scratches and marks I hope the back panel which is made up of glass/plastic is of good quality so that the raw look of the phone (1) is maintained
I like to use cases but for this beauty i am sure am gonna use a transparent case but the problem is that transparent changes in colour to yellow after some time for that i have to change the case time to time.
saikiran_E1IAeItSgu For me, case is a must given my phone falls almost every week. Spigen has a companion to me for last 5 years. Phones changed from 3T to 8T but that Spigen Rugged Armour remained the same. Never saw 8T’s back properly…even the sticker with IMEI is still there on back of my phone. So, i dont think i can stay without a case.
As other have mentioned about Carl’s tweet to MKBHD and what he said in Android Central podcast, looks like there are special first party cases coming. Given first party, they surely will not hide design, so looks we are sorted on this.
