Hello! I recently bought a Nothing Phone(2a), and am so far extremely happy with it, except for one detail.
I prefer my phone to be set to Hebrew, my native language, so I changed the language settings. I immediately noticed some weird localization choices.
For example, Hebrew doesn’t have any vowel letters, so we have the Nikkud system instead. It is usually not written down. Nikkud is also applied in weird places in the phone, and inconsistently across the device.
Another thing I noticed are translations which are incorrect, such as in the recorder app, the “Save” button is translated as “להציל”, which is more akin to rescuing than saving a file, which would be “לשמור”.
And the compass widget is completely broken in Hebrew, and I assume other right-to-left languages such as Arabic, with east and west being flipped, and the letters on the compass also being flipped.
I am not making any accusations, but I also noticed that I get the exact same results when I translate the English strings to Hebrew on Google translate.
P.S. Please implement the dot matrix font in Hebrew
