AbodAlaa I’m on 2.5.5 for the past 4 days, I’m not really sure how some people are only getting 5hrs SOT. I’m using a Xiaomi 33W charger that used to be for my Redmi Note 10 pro, I haven’t bothered to check how long it takes to charge but it definitely doesn’t exceed 1.5 hrs.

AbodAlaa Yeah yeah i know you just asked about OS, i was just adding the point about charging for other people seeing my post who were curious. I already mentioned in my first post that my idle drain is quite low, maybe in about 8 hours of sleep i lose like 3-5% and i only have to charge every two days so the battery life is good for me. By the looks of it, my SOT at the end of my current charge will be 11-12 hours, so i still haven’t faced any battery issues.

I have been facing battery drain issues since the last 2 updates! Witnessing these drain issues only in recent times, it was better earlier!

I use a Motorola 68W Charger with PD support, is it due to that? Please help with this issue!

It’s not bad (that info You are circling). The real problem in your photo, as well as most of us here, is the battery drain at idle state. Every hour 1% is lost.

I just bought 2a a week ago and didn’t have opportunity to test battery life before updates, but I’m also very disappointed with the battery life and charging times. I bought this phone, because of my old phone’s battery dying and now I get similar usage from a new phone, which is funny and sad.. 😁 Please fix this problem ASAP Nothing. 🙁

Until 2.5.4 battery performance was good. You can see the same on YouTube as well. May people have performed battery drain test.

After latest update 2.5.5 battery is not as expected and it’s draining really fast. I hope nothing phone developers will take it seriously and help with the fix in upcoming updates.

Apart from this I don’t feel there is anything to complain about this phone.

Ok. What about battery drain, in idle state?

Try to turn off every thing before going for a sleep. Leave the phone all night. Do you notice any excessive drain? Like 10% or more?

I too was facing extreme battery drain on the first day of buying 2a. Even with latest 2.5.5 OS same battery drain issue alongwith heating issue.

Both these issues got resolved once I manually powered off the device and switched it on after some time.

It seems after the automatic update of OS to latest version phone “Restarts” but to resolve the drain and heating issue one need to manually Power Off and On.

Hope this information would help.

So I bought Nothing 2a one week ago and my phone updated straight to 2.5.4. Now it’s on 2.5.5 so I didn’t have an opportunity to test previous versions of the software, but my phone’s battery life is only 5-6 hours. I bought this phone, because my Poco phone battery was dying. And I can still squeeze 4-5 hours out of it.

5000mAh battery shouldn’t last such a short time. Pls fix this asap 😭

I feel that the battery drain of my nothing phone 2a is comparatively quicker than before the Nothing OS 2.5.5 update. It’s been a week since the update. Before this update my phone 2a would easily last a day with average screen on time of 7-8 hours but after the update it has significantly reduced to 6 hours of screen on time and lasting only 14-15 hrs with 10% juice left at the end of a business day. The ideal battery drain is more than 15%. Is anyone else facing the same issue !?
