I have noticed that the battery of nothing 2a has dropping very fastly compared to other phones which are having lesser MAH..

Is it possible to fix this in software update….

Do we have any official statement from Nothing about this issue? It’s really frustating, I’m thinking of returning the device in the next days…

I would like to recommend this brand to all my friends but it will be quite difficult if the batery backup of a smartphone from 2024 and 5000mah is unable to work a whole day…

I am not sure when it’ll get fixed. I am facing it, too. I loose about 14% percentage at night(about 8 hours).

There’s an update released. It’s v2.5.5a.

AbodAlaa the update doesn’t have anything with the battery optimisation. I wish they had, but idk we might have to wait more.

Charged up my 2a to 100% 19:13 thursday and nearly 48h later still I have some battery left. Over 8h SOT. Moslty connected over Wi-Fi. Bluetooth connected to ear (a) today for over 1,5 h and to my Garmin Instinct 2X Solar watch (ale the time). Did experiance some battery drain at first during night time but later it self resolved due to optimisation in the background. Battery drops less that 3% during night time.

AbodAlaa When i’m using wifi i switch cell data off. In other cases I’m using cell data all the time.

my phone 2(a) after 2.5.5a update is consuming more power and giving me lesser screen time, before the update the screen time was around 8 hours and after the update it’s reduced to around 5 hours, anyone else facing it?

I’ve been using nothing phone 2a for 17 days it fulfilled my most expectations…

But recently I see that while I was charging this phone with cmf 65W gan charger it charges very slow but when I switched the power on and off simultaneously it charges quickly.Kindly solve my issue

I have a nothing phone 2 a has been working since a week but the battery automatically decreased by 40% while I was sleeping, the, knowing that everything is turned off on the phone, Wi-Fi, data, and everything, and I do not know what the solution is.

Hi Mahmoud,

Yep, a lot of people is facing the same problem, but it seems that Nothing is not aware of it (or they haven’t said anything about this matter yet).

We all hope that it’s a software problem that will be eventually fixed in the next Nothing OS update.

I’m a New (and proud) owner of New 2a

I’m falling in love with the glyph to get that “silent” option for specific notification.

Things that cool be extra nice, is something like : “alright, i know i got New notification” -> double TAP black of the phone

Without mark notification as read, glyph could go off, then if New notification appear, then Come black again.

Why? When i speak to someone, and want a correct attention to what they see. That blank LED distract me until i read it.

Battery draining over night - noticed a small drain overnight 7-10 %. Charged my phone yesterday to 100% and the battery was at 93% when i went to sleep. Woke up 83%. I think there are som apps which need to be updated or act up after the update - facebook, google services, google play. Other reasons could be that the stand by optimisations are pretty aggresive. Will try to put 2a in battery saving mode overnight 🙂

I got my phone on monday, it was 100%. Today upadeted to 2.5.5a and for 76% to 28% for less than 3 hours on stand-by. This phone is pathetic. If you want us to test it give it for free.

DimiterTodorov facing similar issue, battery drains & heatup. Not delivering what they promised. Didn’t expected it.
