Same. Facing major battery drain even when the phone is just idle. Getting only about 5 hours of SOT from 100% to 10%.

    Also facing the same problem. There is this search engine selector that ran for 100 hours in the background. I killed it by force stopping. However the drain (although reduced) still persists. I’m not getting the said battery life from my phone 2a.

    My battery drained 8% and I didn’t use the phone. Please fix this

    I am also facing the same issue. I have started using Nothing 2a (actively with sim) from 20th March (Now it’s 3 days) and initial day there were no issues. I think it’s after the update.

    • I tried using 4G network and wifi instead of 5G.
    • Sleep standby optimisation and battery health are enabled
    • Instagram is taking too much background activity even though it’s restricted. Currently I have uninstalled it.
    • Google is taking 16 hours of background activity on optimised mode.
    • Even the haptic feedback was off and refresh rate is dynamic.
    • I am using Nothing CMF 65W GaN charger.
    • Using adaptive brightness and adaptive battery.

    I don't think it could last more than 5 hours on a normal use. I don't even installed any games here or any heavy apps.

    Currently, I have uninstalled Instagram, changed refresh rate to standard and going to use 4G or wifi for the day. Then I’ll give the updates. I did bought this phone for normal use and it can’t even do that well. I hope nothing could fix this on next update ASAP.

      Battery has been great for me. The following SOT is a record and not something I manage every day of course. Few things to note about battery, in my opinion and experience:

      Newly purchased phone always needs a couple of weeks max to learn your usage pattern.

      After each update, leave the phone charging, in idle state without using it, for an extra 2 to 3 hours after it reached 100%. System needs to, and will, optimise itself in the background after each update. This causes extra battery drain and possible heating (which in turn will cause some more battery drain) while you’re using the phone. If you leave if charging passed 100% for 2 - 3 hours those optimisations will be done much quicker and can help with battery drain.

      I also always disable “WiFi scanning” and “Bluetooth scanning”. Those 2 will always be looking for connections and cause extra power consumption too. And disabling them will not hinder WiFi and Bluetooth connection in any way.

      Hey facing same problem with battery life on nothing phone 2a it’s draining too fast after updating to 2.5.4 . Nothing should fix this issue as soon as possible

      I expect from nothing 2a that whole day battery backup…..because NP 1 just 4500 mah but that battery backup awesome….

        I am a moderate user. Mostly I use the hotspot of 2a . I m Getting SOT of 6 hours roughly 100-2% daily. Is this alright or should I expect more . Please tell…..

        Hey facing the same problem like battery draining throughout the night. Before bed it showed 28% and when I took it on the morning it dropped to 15% . About 13% drop without any interaction with the phone. Cellular network’s were OFF except the AOD feature was ON . When I checked through a 3rd party FPS checker the in the AOD it shows 120 FPS constantly.I thing it’s what draining the battery. Please Fix this ASAP Nothing!!!.

          I have facing the problem in lack of battery backup in my nothing phone 2a. Battery backup is soo worthless. I’m using proper 45W charger and charge the phone on a proper electricity supply. Please give a solution through an update or anything else 🙂😞

          I purchased this phone on 12 march and my phone battery drained almost 30-40% at night in idle situation even when i turn off wifi and sim data still getting the same problem, going several times at service centre they don’t have any solution kindly suggest or help me nothing company , i lost my peace from last 12 days since i buy this phone .
