The battery settings need an upgrade, it’s very inconsistent with the battery usage stats and the battery health option doesn’t always work. I think a battery limiting option which cuts power supply at 85% would be more useful. I’m attaching a screenshot below where you can see that I’m not able to see the usage between 2-4pm. Also the screen on time isn’t accurate. How many of you face the same problem

Are you using android for the first time? battery usage stats are not displayed real time. It takes time. From 20% you charge it to 80 or 100 and then see the battery usage when it is back to 20 again. Then you will get to see some accurate numbers.

And I would really love to see a charge limiting option, I use an Asus laptop and I have never charged it above 80 because of the awesome settings in MyASUS app.

no i used samsung before this, and it has descriptive stats regarding battery

The issue here is that the stats are not consistent,I get different timing through the battery page and digital wellbeing screen use page

Some methods I personally use to extend the battery life of my phone (1) which is almost 2 years old now and still gets me 6-7 hours SOT. Do note that I’m not a heavy user.

Change refresh rate to 60 hz
Disable auto brightness
Enable dark mode
Disable Wifi/bluetooth Scanning under location services
Disable RAM expansion feature
Enable smart 5G in network settings
Never let the battery drop below 30 percent and ideally below 50.
Always use the nothing charger and remove any case/cover while charging if possible.

Hope this helps for 2a as well!

Justsomemyth Suggesting limiting the screen refresh rate to 60 Hz on a smartphone to save battery sounds like suggesting to a Ferrari owner not to speed above 40 km/h to save fuel 😀

Fractal Yes it could be, I live in New Delhi and the temperature here is touching 50°C

You can use the application called “Wattz” for the current battery temperature and current Watt value of your device. I am especially curious about the charging speed that people using the CMF charger can achieve.

AmaanWasim Makes a lot of sense. I am aware about the extreme heat wave in delhi. Maybe it will improve during full-fledged monsoon and winter.

Fractal I live in North-east & where i live its 23-30° max, it is not as hot compared to north. Still i face overheating issues.

Around 9-11 hours SOT for me. Moderate to heavy usage with google meet, social media, youtube & netflix. Good enough for me

Mr.CRR Are you on latest OS update? the backup used to be better in older updates. 10.5 hrs SOT feels like a dream with my 2A unit on latest update.

muhkuhaushonolulu yes. I switch on every features that NOS has to offer, u pay for all those feature, u should use it 😆 11hours SOT from 100% to 1%, i’m sure plenty of other user gets more than 11hours
