Phone (2a) - Battery Life Discussion

I purchased nothing 2a my phone doesn't give whole day battery backup I only use my phone for calling, few minutes of WhatsApp that's it.I have a good 5G network reception. Till 5pm I've only 25% charge left on my phone battery never gets hot or while charging it also stays cool still this issue came up is there any solution?

DipsWalk Hey, it’s normal for a brand new device to use more battery since it’s doing tasks in the background and learning your usage patterns - please give it a few more days and see if there’s an improvement.

While doing this my phone charge draining will be solved?

If keep my charge at 10 pm at night it will be full at 8 am in morning? .will it solve my nothing phone 2a battery draining problem

How much time I want to do this

My nothing phone 2a battery is draining too fast even though my screen time is less my phone can hold only for 1or 2 days

Hello team nothing, I’m using the phone 2a for a quite long since October 2024, but for like 2-3 months certainly after the android 15 update, the battery is draining a bit, my usage is normal I don’t play games, my only usage is Instagram, snapchat whatsapp, and youtube Netflix etc, basically my usage is only content based and not gaming

What to do now?

Idk what it is with the regular updates but my battery seems to last less as each day passes. Funny thing is that this phone (2a) has the best battery life for its price but without any additional load mt battery is still draining way too fast. I have the original nothing charger and charge w that not a power bank or anything else.

So recently I gave an issue in the feedback option and the nothing team suggested me a list of things which I followed and it worked for sometime (i will also attach the ss of it)…

For some days I have seen a uprise in battery usage of apps and in wifi after seeing the wifi battery usage i switched to my mobile data….

I will attach the wifi usage screenshot later when I will switch to it for now youtube is taking too battery usage even after not running in the background and being used for 16 mins.

Please see this issue Nothing team and help with the issue..

Well we can’t do anything regarding the battery life for now but you can see my screenshot nothing team has suggested some methods to improve batter life..

I am sure they are working on the battery life problem because too many users are facing problem so let’s be patience and let the Nothing team do their work…

Regarding your phone burning up avoid using the phone when charging

Avoid using heavy load demanding apps like games or another application under direct sunlight and keep the phone somewhere not so warm just moderate temperature…

ItzAbith you could do that but I will recommend using the custom charging mode to prevent battery health depletion and it will also not heat your phone while charging

Check the settings in battery section

I don’t know whether my phone automatically updated or not I am facing battery drain and heating problem especially from the date when phone 3(a) series were launched reply down if anyone is facing the same

im probably going to buy a samsung, having a nothing phone these past few months has been an awful experience. Wifi draining battery like crazy and no fix months in is a terrible look. Cool phone and nice UI but I will nevery buy another nothing phone.

Nothing phone 2a after the update it was actually normal didnt noticed much about battery but since i have started noticing i can see a rapid discharge in battery tryed every step to prevent but nothing works here , phone also heats up slight a bit on its own doing some tasks like gaming it drains so badly this update had made it miserable to use the phone , please nothing do something about it its a major issue

Hello people of the community,

I recently bought a nothing phone 2a, everyone around me kept talking of how great the battery life is, so I had get it, because being a student, battery is one of my primary concerns

and well, honestly, I have ended up a little dissapointed, getting 4-5hrs daily max, on a full charge, with dynamic refresh rate and AOD disabled, well I guess its all okay, I use mobile data all most all the time, 5g, so its okay and I also play some games so I guess its completely alright

but one thing that really bothers me is, the simple amount of sheer battery drain on using mobile hotspot, I use my hotspot for my laptop. and the battery drain is too much, it often goes well beyond 20% for a 3 hour session on hotspot, is this normal? because for 5000mAh 20% is 1000mah, seems a lot to me, I used the hotspot on 5ghz and I have switched it to 2.4ghz in a bid to save some battery.

Can someone comment on this so I could know if that’s normal behaviour or something’s wrong?

Mobile Hotspot normaly Take a lot of battery. I got 8 hours of screen time with aid dynamic refresh rate … for me the battery works good
