Okay, lemme tell you this right of the bat that these designs that you’re gonna see (which are made by me) are not the best ones, at least that’s what I think cuz there were many constraints for me to make these designs and ik that there will be many great designs from other ppl and they’ll 3d etc. but this is my simple and minimal approach for these designs and I’m quite happy and satisfied with it.

Now about the designs, well tbh phone 2a 👀 is a decent looking phone and i like the symmetry of it (which is exactly what my designs didn’t achieve properly), so I just changed few bits like cameras are vertically aligned, and added an charging indicator glyph, then there’re these weird polygons (Idk why but I kinda like that). Basically that’s all I’ve changed.

But if I had a chance to change the hardware, well then I’ll change it too a 6’3 inch (same display as phone 2a, just smaller), same chipset, a headphone jack, a micro sd card slot, and same cameras with better color consistency across the two cams and better post photo processing (videos from 2a are already good, that’s what she said) and yeah I’ll add the red led indicator which you guys had in phone 1&2, lastly I’ll decrease the battery size to a respectable 4200 mah, that’s all for now.

And btw I’m Faiz Mubarak

Thanks for submitting your idea! It’s a nice design for a concept, but doesn’t fit the brief for the actual Community Edition, if you were wanting to enter the competition. Check out the Community Edition brief for more info

adbo just to make sure, it’s supposed be the same phone 2a designs with tweaks in the colour, materials, finish. No other changes are supposed to be done.

Faiz_vc86NqJWVL Yep that’s right - the physical hardware placement + specs can’t be altered as part of the Community Edition

WTF is this? What purpose does the glyphs serve? What is the thought process behind the design? Don’t just put something because it looks good to you. Do some research, learn the Nothing Design philosophy first.

adbo When you say physical hardware, do you mean just anything that effects internal hardware? Are we allowed to change the visible stuff just like the wiring type thing on the bottom of the back? (the thing that’s based on the new York subway map) Or is all we can change be the colours and textures? Thanks, Ross.

Saurav the arc glyph is for the timer 🙄 same as 2a and other nothing phones and then the bottom glyph is the charging indicator glyph and the other two which above and below camera are the fill light glyph and the diagonal one is inspired from phone 1&2, 🗿
