Customization of Glyph light indicator for notifications

Hello,

I love how we can set up custom ringtones and their glyphs for different contacts. But with that logic, shouldn’t there be customization of notification sound and light indicators for different app notifications?! For eg- when I receive a mail, I should get a different glyph pattern so I know it’s a mail noti, and for SMS I could set up another pattern, and so on.

Am I missing out on some settings where I can do this? Kindly help me out here,

Hello! Changing the ringtone or a notification sound also changes the glyphs it lights up while ringing. So if you want different apps to have different glyphs playing just change the notification tone for those apps. However there is no way to change the essential glyph for now. (that’d be nice, wouldn’t it …)

I looked up the notification for apps. I am not able to assign different notification sound to different apps. Could you kindly lead me on how to do it? Thank you.

You can customise the same by long pressing the app icon and select ‘app info’ option where you can customize the ringtone/glyph pattern for that particular app. Give it a try. I use different ones for different apps.

Go to **settings>apps> select the app you want> notifications> and then select the notification channel (**e.g. messages from a specific contact ) and select sound.

You can also tap and hold the app you want and select “app info>notifications” .

There you’ll be able to select a sound from NOTHING or a sound from your device to be the nrw notification sound for that action.

MayankThakur_gL8Yg213uT Tap and hold on the app, go to app info and you’ll find notification settings in there. Alternatively you can go through the settings app
