I’m not able to charge the buds for more than 2 times with a fully charged case!!

Case battery was 50% one moment and then it immediately plummeted to 1% !!!!

Is anyone else facing thess issues?

I bought them for dual connectivity and didn’t expect much battery life anyway considering the price segment, but, this is even bad then I expected 🤣

    Daniel I have not contacted the support yet. I first wanted to see if this is a common issue or not. I guess It could be a problem with my piece. Either way, I’ll contact support now. Thanks for the update!

      I’m facing the same issue

      I kept my buds after using on 100% and case was on 40%

      After removing the buds again the case displayed 1%

      Did you get any reply from support?

        sairaj_sab Support just gave me generic responses. They were not at all helpful. I gave up ☹️.

        I usually defended nothing till now, but, I must admit I’m less inclined towards supporting nothing now. I hope they won’t make the same mistakes as OnePlus

          Nothing is still a good company and mistakes can be tolerated based on scope and severity. Unfortunately, this is something that doesn’t makes sense, even for a company running in startup mode.

          sairaj_sab No. Call me old fashioned/biased, but, I don’t have a good feeling for equipment that comes out of a repair service. If it’s gone there, then it’s gone for good.

          I understand it might have helped majority of others. But I’m not a fan of it.

            Hi,

            I’m facing the same issue, mostly around 40% case battery falls 1% after placing buds for some time.

            I checked this following scenario based on what Nothing promised on the battery hrs for this buds as below(bolded). This is regardless of Case battery %

            I just run a test run by charging the case at 100% and usually switched between ANC on/off and dual connection. Then, I watched movies in ott, music and youtube with the buds and waited for the case to drain 1%. I checked my phone screen time for these apps to calculate the actuals hrs of buds usage.

            my average usage of buds per day is around 3.50 hrs for 6 days which is nearly 21 hrs and also have 100% batteries remaining in both buds which may add more or less additional 5hrs. so a total of 26 hrs, which is somewhat closer to the hrs said by Nothing (with ANC on and Dual connection on). but it is still weird this steep drain to 1% in the case after 40% .

            I also tried charging the case upto 30% and used buds for 2hrs after some minutes case drained to 20% not 1%.

            The charging cable i used was normal fast charging cable charging source is laptop. Case got fully charged as they say around 2hrs.

            from these scenarios, I’m not sure the case is purposely draining the battery for some reason after reaching a hours of use which may be around 40-50%, not sure if it is due to software issue?. hope they will fix in firmware update.

            Perhaps you can check the hours of usage if it matches the ones below:

            Hours promised in Nothing website:

            Earbuds plus charging case
            35.5 hours of playback (ANC off)
            24 hours of playback (ANC on)

            Facing the same issue. I went to service centre and got my buds replaced, but the replaced ones have the same issue. I think its there in the buds only. Total waste of money.

            Daniel i also do have the issue, the charging jumped from like 80 to 10… but still, the battery lasted long enough for me. I think it’s a software bug, where it doesn’t read the battery percentage left properly, cuz the battery is good.

              I am having the same issue. I’m definitely sure it’s a software bug because I was able to get the battery backup near to what nothing has claimed but the same issue keeps happening to me case charge automatically drops from 40% to 1%. Nothing should come up to fix this issue and many others with a new update.

              Anonymous28 I’m facing the same problem i got the buds on 19 May but it got drained in just 1 day without any heavy usage my case was on 80 percent battery and today morning it was on 1 percent battery can you please tell me is your issue resolved? If yes then how..
