Is it possible to disable the update to 2.5.5 - stay on 2.5.4?
📱 Phone (2a) - Nothing OS 2.5.5 Changelog
LeadGenerating 2160p hdr 60fps video, before update it was ok, but after update,
MithuMandal nothing phone 2a does not support 4k60 fps.
@Firmware (bot) what have you done? This update 2.5.5 has broken the entire phone. For the first time I faced a bug when opening whatsapp. Now for the camera, it is just terrible. In the process of optimizing the image, you destroyed the app. I tried switching from video to image in front camera and there was this weird red and normal tone flickering transition and then it settled for red finally. The camera app itself is lagging now .
I think Nothing just gave into the customer`s demand for very frequent update and just forced its developers for half baked buggy ones. There is a reason why all other smartphone companies don’t just give into the customers request and start handing out update fix every now and then. The phone before update 2.5.5. was good if not perfect. You could have just improved your flagship phone NP2 and give their paranoid users what they wanted for the past 3 months. But instead you tried to improve what was already good without testing properly and see what have you done. The phone UI feels like its smoothness has been forced with lags here and there and now bugs have started to turn up its head which were not present before.
LeadGenerating I mean YouTube hdr 60 fps video, before update it runs smoothly with no lagging

I found “Auto-update (apply updates when device restarts)” in developer options and turned it off.
But I don’t know if it will work.
Nothing - “We want to make tech fun again”
And… We will also not give a sh*t about our old products once we launch a new one.
RubienCharcos ohh so knowledgeable??
MitunManav any way to prevent auto update?
ghumnewala still don’t work.
VolodymyrPetrovych yup, this is the way. I disabled this option long ago.
AvraMitra this is only meant for google updates. Not for nothing ones
LeadGenerating yes mee too, too much battery draining issue
I am observing heating issues with normal usage. Anyone observing the same ?
Hi after update. I’m not getting 5G/4G on my device. I have done a check in the network settings I have enough data. Kindly someone help.
muhkuhaushonolulu Dunno about that. But since I disabled that, the only way I get Nothing updates are by manually checking for updates. No auto-update happens.

I really have to admit, that I don´t feel any changes after the update.
I reported the bug about the lockscreen-brightness in “Extra dark mode”. Supposedly it was to be fixed in this update, but actually the bug is still present…
