MillBurry I didn’t know that, thank you for the info but still i think the phone should give me at least 6hours of SOT, cause i use to use my oldphone for hotspot all the time & it would last for around 4hours (only using hotspot) nothing else.

ashiva Yes, I always get around 8 hours of SOT, depending on what I do on the phone of course. If I stream a lot of music or have a lot of camera use it’s less. But hotspot is indeed a serious battery drainer. If you can, I’d try using the phone without hotspot for a day and see what battery you get without it to check.

Is anyone else facing issues with their fingerprint sensor? I registered my fingerprint when I got the phone a week ago (16/04/2024) and it worked without any issue. Then I got the 2.5.5 update and since then it started having issues. It now evolved into not working at all anymore. I couldnt even delete my registered Prints at some point. Now Ive really tried everything even to the extent of factory resetting the phone. Still not able to set up any fingerprints. I can go up to the point where I have to press setup and the registering would start on the following screen but no matter how often I press the set up button, nothing happens. Anyone got any Idea? Support couldnt help me either.

      Hey Nothing Community!

I’m a proud owner of the Phone (2a) and overall, I’m loving the experience! The design is awesome, the performance is smooth, and it’s truly refreshing to see a company focusing on user experience.

However, I’ve encountered a couple of minor bugs that I wanted to bring to your attention:

      1. Notification Panel Access: I can’t pull down the notification panel from within any app. It works perfectly fine on the home screen, but swiping down from the top within any app doesn’t respond.

      2. Always-On Display Glitch: The information displayed on the Always-On Display sometimes shifts erratically, moving up or down the screen even when there aren’t any new notifications.

      3. Low Earpiece Volume: The call audio from the speaker on the top of the phone for listening during calls is very low, even though the same speaker has excellent sound quality for music playback.

These are just small issues, but I figured it would be helpful to report them.

Despite these minor glitches, I’m truly enjoying using the Phone (2a). Keep up the fantastic work, Nothing!

Looking forward to a fix for these issues in a future update.

      Thanks,

      Manas Dodiya

Merged 1 post from Phone (2a) Issues: Notification Panel & Always-On Display.

To anyone seeing my previous Post. I fixed it! I disabled the RAM booster (was automatically enabled at 2GB) and now the sensor works again! I struggled with this for a week now. I hope this helps anyone encountering similar issues.

RohithTony I regrettably have to inform you that the sensor stopped working after about three minutes again. Tried playing around with the ram booster settings but didnt help. Im looking to get it replaced asap now since this seems my only way out.

I recently updated nothing os 2.5.5 but I didn’t see any difference in my nothing 2a

the new chat gpt widget in which is coming in new update now showing in my nothing it’s any bug of other problem .

Stringfellow_hawke I stopped using hotspot & today i am going to check my battery drain (normal usage) its been a week, the phone should be optimised by now so, lets see. I am starting at 80% (Also i did the 100% charge leave it idle for 2hours extra). Hopefully it give decent amount of SOT today. Will update it here.

RapidZapper changed the title to 📱 Phone (2a) - Nothing OS 2.5.5 Changelog .

If anyone is wondering if I managed to get the bug fixed with my fingerprint sensor not working; Short answer: I didn’t. The long answer is, that I opened a request with the seller because of said fingerprint sensor issue. Then I sent the phone (Nothing phone 2a) back to the seller and they checked everything on it. Turns out there was a manufacturing issue where the sensor was just faulty from the get go. So I got a brand new and sealed Nothing phone 2a sent by the seller at no cost of mine. Not even the sending back of the phone I had to pay for. Now since yesterday I’m using the new phone with absolutely no issues. Updated it and all and the sensor keeps working great.

Shout out to digitec.ch for handling this the way they did.

TL;DR The sensor was broken before it left the factory. Nobody to blame here.

              Hi,

I faced issue over car’s bluetooth connectivity. Call connected but other guy’s voice is not audible in Car’s bluetooth.

This issue is there since launch but still it is not resolved. When I raise issue with support team they are asking for too many log reports. Not sure how these people are expecting to get those logs with less tech savy people out there.
