Can confirm. 2.5.6. When I opened the box I played some Mobile legends it was very cold for a couple of days. But later on it started to heat noticeably reaching 41 degrees in 30 minutes. When browsing the web I usually stay between 36-39. The heat is mostly in the upper part of the device. I worry that I did something to the vapour chamber somehow, though I’m extremely careful with the phone.

All the measures are from the battery by the way. So I’m referring to the battery temp.

Yes , my phone also heating. I am having 2.5.6 latest update. It is heating for just download in chrome and for bluetooth transfers in 15mins. Taking long time to cool. @changename please fix this issue in next update. Lock screen is getting hung sometimes when we use power button to switch on the phone and unlock. Google keyboard is slow.

I used my phone(2a) camera for 45 mins to take pictures. But the phone started heating until I closed the camera application.

Try to fix this in the next update 😥 @Firmware (bot)

Daniel I bought a 2a 3 weeks ago and have the same problem. I mostly use Telegram and Instagram and after 40 minutes… the heat problem appears, 41 degrees in normal activities… I really like this phone😭. pls fix this issue

      I bought my new Nothing phone 2a today, my battery drains by 1 % in 15 min, I’m not doing any heavy tasks, just playing around with my phone settings. Is that normal. Besides, the temp increased immediately for just playing offline car drifting game with high graphics setting. All of these are happened on 2.6 .

      Is that heating issue or something ?

      I do have a lot of apps that need to run on the background, be that for headphones, smart watches, equalizer, ad blocking or simply not having to wait for my 3rd party launcher to load up

      It puts a strain on the 2a that my mi 10t can handle but this phone can’t.

      It’s measurably hotter and you can feel the difference between the temperature of the mi 10t and 2a. The 10t really just idles at room temperature but my 2a idles at either 31c or 29c. Which is in general way too hot because it starts to seriously throttle at 40c and feel really slow.

      LittleNemo hello, umm yeah. My phone still have that issue, but I guess is getting a lil, a LITTLE better. Now I’m just waiting for OS 3.0.

      And about your problem, try low graphic settings, maybe you see a difference.

        I brought my phone yesterday..The phone is heating when doing light things like WhatsApp,settings ,Instagram etc..Very casual usage but it’s 36+ temperature .My old 2gb ram phone’s casual gaming heat is phone 2a’s WhatsApp messaging heat..What is this..Also 2hrs of WhatsApp drained 24% battery..Is this normal?

        Yeah my phone 2a does not go below 28c and it averages 34c

        It’s not plugged in to charge and I’m not using it most of the time

        Ambient is 24c

        My old phone with the same apps on it averages 19c somehow. It’s the Xiaomi mi 10t 8gb
