I want to say thanks the team for an amazing launch event. 😀 I feel so grateful that I took the chance and invested, even if it just was a small amount and I’m just a small, small lego in the big Nothing lego fortress I’m very happy.

The design and pr team have done an amazing job. Can we all just take a moment and watch the beautiful video of ear (1) and the white grasshopper. I think I have watched that video at least 20 times now, WOW! So well done.

And the website is phenomenal too, it’s so simple and minimalistic. But so good and so high quality. And the weird, at first site ugly blue bar at the bottom, also looks super neat for some reason. That old retro design feels suddenly so modern and refreshing.

Thank you for a good event, a well designed product and a well designed brand. Extra proud over Teenage engineering and the other Swedish friends here in Sweden. Thanks.

Same for me in India. Hopefully they’ll send before that, otherwise there’s no early access for investors since it’ll be near the public sales on 17th August in India.

aravind It was not mentioned when the embargo is going to be lifted, however, in the news The Verge posted about the event, it is mentioned that “we’ll have a full review of the Ear (1) earbuds coming soon”.

vikas It’s like @Bass mentioned, “within” doesn’t necessarily mean that they are going to be sent two weeks from when you ordered them.

And about the open sales, I believe that a lot of people will see an identical message - if not with an even bigger timeframe - when they start. I think you did the best you could do, since your order is now on queue.

Rob ⚡️ Many thanks for sharing the link, I do love to read the Wired, so I am going to give it a go soon. 🤓

Regarding to a few german sites, they seem to have all the same problem (at least in germany). Their ear 1 is atm stuck at the german customs and they will start reviewing it once they get them.

I’m hoping for the same as well. But 2 weeks is a big time frame. For people in some countries, its 3-4 days, so hopefully they’ll send it within a week.

Rob ⚡️ When companies choose the “perfect” song for what they are trying to portrait, I always have the feeling they just scoured the most unknown and niche albums. I love it. Apple does this pretty well too - along with an outstanding cinematography. No ladybugs, though.

And in this case, is choosing the best moment from a song that’s 14m30s long. If you guys are curious, it’s called “Moments In Love” from Art of Noise. I’ll link it below. 😎

Great job finding this one! Thanks for sharing it.

I was reading through the GQ article about Nothing where they reference the track chosen for the very first Nothing promo:

…when asked about his favourite songs of the summer, he [Pei]confesses to freeloading off a friend’s Spotify Discover playlist who “has better music taste”.

I wonder if the tracks used in the launch materials came from Pei’s friends Spotify 😆

Rob ⚡️ Hah, thank you, I didn’t know that theme. I love how nugget by nugget we are getting all the information to write a book about Nothing. These forums are the Walter Isaacson of the company.

That’s actually a good question about the playlist. Therefore, we need one of two things: Carl’s friend here on the Community or at least a link to that playlist.

Now that I think about it, @Carl should post on @Cameron thread about the first playlist, album or song that he listened to when he got his ear (1). 🤓

That’s what’s great about these types of communities, really getting into the nitty-gritty details. Everyone brings an article, experience, or opinion and contributes to the pool of knowledge. I hope, like when the forums first launched, that the Nothing Staff will start posting again!
