Hello!
I use my Ear (2)s for voice and video calls via WhatsApp all the time. Any bluetooth device shall allow you to chat on whatsapp using them, just as long as you select your audio settings on the bottom of the call to Bluetooth (though this should happen automatically if your bluetooth buds are connected before a call).
The new Ear and Ear(a) should also be perfectly suitable!
