And now the day has finally arrived: you have pressed the “Place Order” button. If so, I hope this thread can be useful to you and to anyone who is thinking about doing the same anytime soon. Please share with the Community the process of ordering the product. After you do it, what’s the status of your order, when did you receive them. You know, how is this journey going for you? Here are a few starting points: * When did you order them? * When were they shipped? * When did you receive your order? * Was everything in perfect conditions? * Anything you want to add about your own experience. It can also be a place to report eventual problems one is experiencing with their order or to describe positive surprises you have encountered so far with the company. It’s your order and your experience to help everyone find an overall sense of the process. I hope that in the end, this place can help others while the genuine excitement is being passed around. So I got today the response from the support they will ship the order this week at the latest. (I’m in the EU)

I was honestly expecting more communication, because not having any clear ship date and having to contact support to figure out when the order will be shipped is not a great look tbh.

Not the end of the world or anything, but more transparency would be nice for sure.

I was also expecting more communication with us, founders, regarding the shipping time problem.

It’s crazy to think that if they already get complains from the people who trusted them from the very first minutes and are making us wait for that long without giving updates, i can’t imagine when they will have a lot of customers.

For now they lied to us twice without apologizing or giving any update, we likely won’t all receive the buds before august 17th, and they didn’t ship “within two weeks” :/

I am thinking that for each country specific number of products will be dispatched once. After reaching their respective countries, they start the shipping. As mentioned in India, August 17th they go on Sale. They are not shipped until August 15th, So the public sale and our delivery date would be on the same date. I may be wrong. But logically thinking this makes sense. If they don’t even respond to our limited investor’s about the shipment, given the promotion of seperate customer service team, if public sale starts, then this would be a disaster. @changename team should think about it. We atleast expect an update. Thats all we are asking. 🙃

No. I’m a journalist, i can also be verified on Twitter. Does it mean i deserve a special treatment as a customer ? No. You don’t need to be an influencer to be verified on Twitter, and being verified doesn’t mean you’re more important than someone else.

arpan2308 Kota Bass scarbo Many congratulations on finally getting them shipped. It’s likely that you’ll get them next week. I cannot wait to read what the Community has to say about the ear (1).

For the company to ship the product on a Saturday, I think it shows that Nothing really wants to put the ear (1) on customers’ hands as soon as possible.

And since you are from different regions, it can also be interesting to know how the shipping times are in Europe and India, for example. 🙌

@Kota I know there are comparisons between the ear (1) and the AirPods in almost every single review, but I believe your unbiased impressions can be of great use. Hopefully you’ll find the time to write them. 🤓

Sorry to say, i would not term shipping a 17days old order on a “Saturday” a commitment. Rather, i would put it as inefficiency.

Nothing like an experience i expected. Few days back customer support mentioned “delay may be due to issues at logistics and custom’s end” and then today shipping it from Hong Kong is funny. Already got 2 calls and 3 emails from Fedex asking me to fill customs authorisation form and provide KYC documents. Funniest part is that the Nothing official SMS mentions that “Nothing India” has shipped the order 😂

Also, have read above that some ppl have paid 3-5% extra because the transaction was routed through Hong Kong.

Surprising update…atleast for India, the investor orders are shipped from hong kong 😳

ETA for me is 18th Aug…but being an international courier, i really doubt. It is Fedex so possible also.

Mine got also shipped from Hongkong. Will be intresting to see if I have to pay vat or some other fees.
