Hi everbody I’m Rob.

I’m living in the UK (though love to travel… damn Covid!
I love tech and and music, my wife calls me (in a loving way) a geek. I love innovation and companies that “think outside the box” and I’m really excited to see what Nothing do next. I think the community will be a great resource as feedback is so helpful for any product team (and I know @Rudi

from a previous life and he’s fantastic!).
Minidisc player - I remember going around to my mates, plugging this little portable player into his amp with an optical lead and playing back the cd I’d just copied, they all fell silent and couldn’t believe the sound quality coming from this little device. They all went out and bought one!
Blade Runner - I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhäuser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain. Time to die.

I hope that’s enough and I hope to contribute often/join discussions etc.

Incredible choice for a movie, did you have the opportunity to check Blade Runner 2049 and, more recently, Dune? I love Mr. Denis Villeneuve work.

Oh man, that Game Gear brings back so many memories - I still have mine, even if it doesn’t work anymore. It was such an awesome piece of tech, despite eating more batteries than a laptop with a 3070.

I soon realized that I could just play without batteries while the console was being fed by the Mega Drive power brick. Got a little toasty tho. 😅

My parents got me the console with a “4 in 1 pack”, loved every single of those games, especially the rally one. 🤓

I sadly never owned a Wii, but I got a friend who owned it and I spent a lot of time playing a lot of different games over there, they where all fun to be honest. I hope I’m not the only one, but you should definitely share your golf trauma story (at least if it’s a funny one!).

When a new product - or even a new feature - is released, I always love to read complementary messages about it, explaining the philosophy, the development of the idea, what the company is trying to achieve, etc. But also what @Kastello mentioned: behind the scenes messages are always a nice way to connect with the team. 🤩

Julie When I was 5, I was bitten by a monkey at a zoo (I got too cocky and tried to feed it by hand – my bad). I have a cactus called Jeremiah. I am known as the office snacker.

Plot twist: Jeremiah is the name of the monkey and the cactus is a tribute. So happy you only have one cactus, if you had more than one we would be here until Christmas talking about cactuses vs cacti. 😁

Anyway. The real question is, why won’t Nintendo re-release the Wii? The cowards.

This really IS the most important question - where are the 4K remasters of our favourite Wii titles at? … Who am I kidding, Nintendo wouldn’t know UHD if it punched them in the face.

Rob ⚡️ I have been to Alexandra road estate but I should plan to visit it again soon. Another favourite of mine is the Brunswick Centre.

100% agreed with the statement “I think its mission accomplished when consumers struggle to decide whether they ‘need’ to keep the packaging rather than throw it away.” 🙂 Some I go back to and think ‘that was really a smart detail’
