Catch Up on Content: (3a) Design Deep Dive, MKBHD’s Dream Phone & More
It’s only February, but our content team has seriously been cooking over on our YouTube channel this year!
As we inch closer to the Phone (3a) Series launch on 4th March, we’ve been revealing more and more information about our upcoming devices. In a sneak preview of the Phone (3a) Series camera, @Rob ⚡️ and I take you on a tour of London, snapping photos with the upcoming (3a) and an iPhone. Our team also caught up with designers Adam, Chris and Lucy, who all worked on the new devices, to go through the development process of creating the hardware design.

In another video, we made MKBHD’s dream phone. Our team reached out and asked him what specs he’d include in his ideal phone. We built it (hypothetically - with the help of Concept Central) and after all our calculations, production of a single unit would cost $23,535,500… would you buy it? See the full specs in the video here.
Lastly, we made a fun animated video - Does Owning an Android Make You Happier? With weeks of research under our belt, we delve into the psychology of operating systems and how their features can affect our satisfaction.

Hello Snapdragon & Community Event in Bengaluru

Following the announcement that Snapdragon chips will be powering the Phone (3a) Series, we teamed up with Snapdragon to host a community event in Bengaluru, India. Taking over ARAKU Coffee shop, our guests participated in a Q&A with Nothing Co-Founder @Akis, and Qualcomm’s Head of Mobile, Saurabh Arora.
With a fireside chat, amazing local coffee and a smartphone building challenge, our communities had a great time and even got to see the Phone (3a) Series before anyone else. You can read more about the event in this post.
Additionally, we’re excited to share the news that Akis will be stepping into the role of India President at Nothing. As a founding member of the Nothing Team, Akis brings a wealth of leadership and marketing experience, and will be spearheading our operations in India .
“India is one of the most important markets for Nothing and we believe there is a tremendous opportunity to become a leading consumer tech brand in the country. I’m very excited to step into this new role and continue to bring distinctive, design-led tech innovations to Indian consumers. India will play a pivotal role in the global smartphone industry in the years to come, and we’re committed to accelerating our ‘Make in India’ initiatives and boosting domestic production.” - Akis Evangelidis

Nothing Library: Podcast & Book Recommendations from the Nothing Team 📖
Last month, we got two amazing media recommendations from our team. Here are some more books that are keeping the team busy and inspired this month. Let us know what you’re reading or listening to down below!
Book - The Molecule of More - recommended by Henry, Software Team
This book is all about dopamine: the chemical that controls desire, motivation, addiction, creativity and more. As well as being engaging and packed with interesting stories, this book provided me with actionable insights to develop better habits around devices, diet and lifestyle.
Book - Sunburn by Chloe Michelle Howarth - recommended by Dianne, Finance Team
Sunburn is a coming-of-age novel about Lucy, a young woman in 1990s Ireland who struggles to fit in. It’s a great read for escaping winter blues!this
