Hi, my name is Rahil.
You might have seen some of the concepts I have shared here, I recently had the privilege of being the second person to launch a community widget with @RapidZapper, you can read/download that here -> Fortunes Widget.
With the release of phone 3 there are some exciting possibilities that have opened up with the glyph matrix.
Now I am not an android developer, best I can develop is websites. So I thought of coming up with some design concepts and after working on them for a bit, I am ready to share them.
Let’s go over them one by one.
Tool - Screen Time
What does it do : As self explanatory as it sounds, the screen time tool allows users to check their screen time directly on the matrix without opening the phone.
How does it work : The normal preview simply shows the device in a happy or sad state depending on whether user screen time is below or above the specified limit. Hold the capacitive button on the back of the phone to see your time.
Use case : See the screen time before interacting with your device. Is it really necessary to unlock the phone ?
Game - A Balancing Act
What does it do : A fun interactive game where you tilt your device left or right to see different reactions of the smiley man as he tries to balance a stack of cards on his head.
How does it work : Hold the button to start the game and then use the gyro (tilt device left & right) to control the balance.
Use case : Bored at work ? Few minutes to spare between meetings ? Why not try this balancing act ?
Game - One Sided Pong
What does it do : Well, you know how pong works. This one is just one sided. The ball moves from left to right and you have to time your reactions just right to hit it. The ball basically goes from one side to another.
How does it work : Hold the button to start the game and then use the gyro (tilt device up & down) to control the middle paddle.
Use case : Fun little game to test your reflexes. Maybe try challenging your friends.
Tool - Falling Leaves

What does it do : Leaves fall and play the gentle sounds as shown above. It is meant to relax and calm the user. (Music was composed by me, Check video linked above for full experience)
How does it work : Hold the button to start. Hold it again to stop. Sounds and animation continue to play in loop until stopped.
Use case : Insomniac ? Need soothing sounds to sleep ? Need a moment to rest, journal or meditate ? This should come in handy.
Tool - Weather
There are two versions of this. One is minimal and less cluttered, while the other tells a bit more story (The tiles at the bottom represent the land and the sun or cloud show that they are above the land….. you get the picture)
What does it do : It tells you the Weather… duh
How does it work : Displays the weather directly while browsing through your toys.
Use case : Why should you check the phone for weather when there is 25×25 matrix on the back bro ? Honestly they should have already shipped with this. Might come in a future update… its too simple to pass up.
Tool - Download/Upload Progress
What does it do : It tells you the progress of a file downloading or uploading to or from your device.
How does it work : If downloading or uploading a file, turn the phone around to see this progress.
Use case : Why should you check the phone for download/upload progress when there is 25×25 matrix on the back bro ?
Tool - Essential space reminders.
What does it do : It syncs with your essential space and displays reminders when they are set.
How does it work : Just keep the phone face down man… it will trigger when the reminder is set.

Final Notes & Community Mention
Ok that will be all from my side.
Must admit, had a lot of fun with this project. I am still yet to experience the phone 3 so based on that, more ideas may become a possibility.
Some community members have already created some cool stuff with the matrix, shout-out to @Daniel for the counter toy.
And @Fr4nKB - he has been making some exciting stuff with his official app. He also has a toy along with my guys Rahul and Rapid that comes installed on the phone 3 directly, I believe.
