Return is being processed. Really wanted to love these (and i did before Nothing messed with the FW) but i done with this brand now. i suggest anyone else who isnt fully happy to send them back, Nothing cant be trusted to fix their own mistakes.

Emailed support regarding the firmware issue and like everyone else, heard nothing back. I am out of the window of time to return them so I called support about a warranty claim and they confirmed that they do have a 1 year warranty on them, but I have no idea how they are going to provide a replacement that is working properly without fixing the firmware. I am giving them a week to see if they push out an update and if not sending them in for a warranty replacement. If they can’t provide a working replacement, they will have to refund my money. Selling something that does not provide the features that are marketed is illegal. This is like selling a car claiming it has 4-wheel drive when it is missing all of its wheels.

DubleA i had to argue with the retailer as they contacted Nothing and Nothing said no… they are being collected tomorrow and i’ll never touch this brand again… i wanted to love them and almost got a nothing phone last year… This brand has shown they dont care 🙂 Now deleting this account too so i have nothing to do with Nothing going forward

I just got my headphones, and the first thing I did was update them to the latest 1.0.1.74 firmware. After the update, the headphones started constantly disconnecting from my devices (Google Pixel 10 Pro & MacBook Air). With the phone, I did the usual troubleshooting: cleared the app cache, reinstalled both the app and re-paired the headphones, and also performed resets from both the earphones and my Bluetooth & Wi-Fi settings.

Has anyone else experienced similar connectivity issues? I couldn’t find much online with a quick search, so I was wondering whether my unit is simply faulty. However, after reading some of the recent comments about issues with the latest firmware, I really started to hope this will be fixed with a future update. I’d really prefer not to send these to Nothing for a replacement, only to end up with the same issues again.

JoelKonttinen I bought these back in July and have gone through every firmware update since then. I use them with a Samsung phone and two MacBook Pros and have not had any connectivity issues. All of the issues I have had are related to the sound related features (volume, anc, and bass/eq).

DubleA Cheers for the reply! I just received a replacement pair from the retailer I bought the first pair from — the same issue continues, both with the old firmware and after I updated them. I even tried a couple of tablets (Samsung and Apple) and my wife’s Pixel 9. Damn, this sucks. I’d really like to like these headphones, but it seems I’ll be better off with my Sonys.

I just realized, that the low end/bass is significantly stronger when ANC or Transperancy mode are on, which is not the case when they are off. Even though bass enhancement is turned off. This is irritating me so much, because I turn ANC off when at home to preserve battery life, but I can hear that the low end is missing a lot. I’m wondering if I’m the only one having this problem.

mozno This is so funny, my experience with ANC is the strict opposite. Half the bass is gone when I switch ANC on. So I do it only when I really have to like on the plane or train. Are you on the latest firmoware?

WojtekWiatrowski mozno One of the reviewers noticed that the current firmware cuts down the bass when you reach a certain volume treshold. Maybe you’re both experiencing this?

And I agree that the current firmware is the worst release we’ve had so far in terms of audio quality. I hope they release 1.75 sooner rather than later.

mozno I experience the same thing, big bass on ANC or TM. No bass when ANC and TM is switched off. You can actually hear the bass being gone right after the sound you hear when switching modes.

It is funny how many people reporting obvious problems and they doing Nothing for 1,5 months.

Yeah, they really need to hurry up and push out a fix for all of these issues. It’s been like a month and a half since they rolled this version out.

Dennis_EmbVDIszmm I don’t think so, I would say I don’t have the best ears when it comes to detecting changes in specific frequencz ranges, but to me the change in bass is pretty noticeable as soon as I switch from off to ANC or TM. No change in volume. It’s not like when changing the EQ, it’s more like a subwoofer is turned on suddenly. When turning on or off or changing the bass enhancement, no matter in what mode, I can hear no change at all.

Lef_ Yes, I wrote to them about this and many more problems with this firmoware. It took forever for them to say that theyre working on a fix, but idk if I was talking with a real person cause their messages were like straight out of chatbot

JoostMeij my headphones was doing it on previous firmware versions, for some reason.

Just got another one email from the support, they started talking something about ANC quality, which was no the case.

Anyway enough for me. I’ll count that as wasted $300. Posted fair reviews on few price aggregators, soon will send my headphones to a big youtube channel who have lab equipment for testing headphones.

This was my first and last Nothing product. F this company.

Lef_ if they can let us downgrade to whatever version we want, all of this would not be happening, when i bought them i tested them out with the older version that was there and everything was fine, after the update…well, we all know

Lef_ could you post a link to the findings when it’s done, I am really interested. This issue should get more attention.

I feel that all reviewers that recommended the product would not do it under this firmware version.
