Nach monatelanger Arbeit bin ich endlich zuversichtlich, dass wir von der Community erstellte Watchfaces haben werden. Während die meiste Arbeit in den letzten Wochen darin bestand, die Struktur von Watchface-Dateien zu verstehen und alles zu dokumentieren, wird der Schwerpunkt in den nächsten Wochen darauf liegen, Tools zu erstellen und einer ausgewählten Gruppe von Community-Designern die Möglichkeit zu geben, die Tools vorab auszuprobieren allgemeine Veröffentlichung. In den letzten Tagen habe ich endlich das allererste Watchface der Community gebaut: „Big Ben“, ein perfekter Test, der an das Land erinnert, in dem alles begann. ![](https://s3-nothing-prod.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/2024-02-12/1707749352-171469-image.png „Big Ben Preview“) Es werden Tools für das Web entwickelt, damit sie von jedem genutzt werden können. Das Veröffentlichungsfenster ist vorerst 2024, aber ich werde bald genauere Informationen haben. Weitere Neuigkeiten werden in den nächsten Wochen in diesem Thread veröffentlicht. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, dieses Tool für die Community zu veröffentlichen.

Any update on this would be great. Love the nothing ears so I bought myself the cmf watch pro 2. Very impressed but the lack of watch faces is killing me.

Please, I’ve been checking this thread every day just hoping for an update. I really appreciate everything you’ve done so far, but I had to ask… is the SDK or custom watchface tool still being worked on? Or has it been paused?

Also, now that CMF has moved from the CMF Watch app to the NothingX app, does that change anything for the Watch 1 and 2? I’m just really worried because it feels like they’ve abandoned these watches. There hasn’t been a single firmware update in over a year and this project is the only hope we have left.

Please let us know anything, even a small update. We’re really counting on you. Thank you so much for everything you’re doing.

I’m going to sell my Pro 2 smartwatch, it sucks.

RapidZapper the truth is there wont be much average users using this watchface builder

CMF Watch 1 and 2 are not that popular, and most of the people who are looking for alternate ways to make and upload custom watch faces on the watch are not average users. I think most of them can do with a bit of inconvenience while uploading the watch faces, I’m sure. At least put the project on GitHub so people can help with the development. If you have stopped the development, please upload it on GitHub; we don’t want all that time you gave to development to go to waste. Or at least post good documentation of how the watch face files work.

Fahis Well that’s what I’m trying to fight against, this need to be accessible to everyone and especially designers who may not be the most technical people, the entry level must be as simple as a download button

Things are still in the work, I’m just trying to do everything to achieve that goal

pixcel25 let’s say I have a very complete understanding of Original Watch Pro mechanism available for watch face.

This also work with WP2 and W3P so that’ll allow for a basic but very complete experience at start, then it’ll expand with Watch Pro 2 specific features and maybe 3 if there’s anything interesting

Main challenge right now is ofc still to find a good way to have these installed/tested and to build the web editor but the later might not happen until we have a way to fulfil first requirements

I have been checking this thread regularly. Glad that I could see @RapidZapper replied to this.

Eagerly waiting to see any progress, expected alot from Nothing but this is hurting tbh. I wish this could be fun after we get the update and hope the wait is worth it.

IMHO so sad that this project may become "dead at birth". Thanks for a great and hard job, that some of us will never see. Ive already trashed my cmf 1 because of half a day battery time. And my cmf 2 is so close to the same ending - randomly it starts to work only for an weekend, but sometimes for an week or two. Battery is degrading, and I defenitly wont buy cmf 3

This is not a "fix" I would suggest, as if you are truly having battery degradation I would hope support would be there. Anyways, I have gifted a LOT of cmf 2 pros to family for bdays and the like. I always go for open box units online. In the USA I have gone as cheap as around $25 USD for an open-box unit.
