As announced yesterday: Phone (2a) is coming! I think it’ll be fun to use this discussion to follow everything up to the actual release.

The first big surprise I saw was the transformation of the homepage, giving us some mysterious hints 👀 : “Fresh eyes”

You must have seen the video Why Phone (2a) by now, because it was released yesterday… So first things first: we can mark 5 March in our calendars as the release date 🔥.


When I first came in contact with Nothing as a brand, I really enjoyed the ‘Nothing Series’ they did at that time. I still love the way Nothing is creating these videos with their own style and no matter what the product is, it’s exciting to see them showcase their process of exploring ideas and translating them into the final product.

In the video they mentioned “improved relationships with suppliers and efficiency gains allowing to offer the same quality at a potentially lower price for Phone 2A.” I’m really curious what it would mean for us as a customer and how Phone (2a) will be priced! What are your thoughts?

I’m really hoping for more videos and if so, I’ll definitely add them here!

i wished that the wavy lines on the bottom half also had lights it would have been a very cool look this i a mid cool look

Mr Steel really enjoyed this level of community engagement, as well as the comments from the team on why some decisions were made etc. Especially loving the sound of textured sides to the device, want to feel that in my hands!
