Hi Nothing Team,
I’ve been noticing this issue since Nothing OS 4.0, and it is still present on the latest Nothing OS 4.1.
When using a pure white wallpaper, the status bar icons and text (carrier name, network, battery, signal, etc.) are not rendered in pure black. Instead, they appear dark grey, making them look inconsistent with the rest of the UI.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, the status bar has a different shade compared to other black UI elements. It looks like the status bar isn’t switching to a true black color on light wallpapers.
Device: Nothing Phone (3a)
OS Version: Nothing OS 4.1
Issue first noticed: Nothing OS 4.0
Expected behavior: Status bar icons and text should switch to pure black on white/light wallpapers for better consistency and readability.
Please look into this issue.
