Hello guys!

I wanted to buy nothing phone 2. But have seen few articles regarding the new phone 3.

Can anyone let me know when in Phone 3 coming.

Thanks!

Hey there, I just wanted to ask if there is going to be the launch of nothing phone(3) this year, or if it will be pushed to next year, I am asking since I really really want to switch to a nothing phone.

Merged 2 posts from Nothing Phone 3 release timeline and Question about the next nothing phone.

Same here, I am looking to move to a Nothing phone, as there are expectations that Phone(3) will release in July I am choosing to wait. Hope they give any kind of update on Phone(3) or it’s release, I waited for it in eagerly in Q1 2024 but they didn’t, hope they will tease something in this April or early May.

Just updated phone 2 to OS 2.5.5 (they skipped 2.5.3) and do not see any difference from 2.5.2.

Maybe you should wait till Phone 25. I am waiting to get S25+ end of the year or maybe not before beginning of 2025.

@SSudarsan

the nothing phone 3 might get snapdragon 8s gen 3 . (rumored) , the phone 2 has a really capable 8+gen 1 .

the phone 3 might look like a good choice but nothing is not gonna launch it under 45k for the base variant for sure .

so i think the 12gb /512gb phone 2 for( 37999 ) is a bang for buck , ignore all the negative reviews the phone 2 has improved so much that i don’t even use my pixel 7 nowadays . its that good .

the battery has improved a ton , camera with the new update is killing it . the phone is stupidly fast . the speaker is fantastic , the only think missing is a little more feedback on haptics . other than that , its rock solid .

if your budget is below 40k , close your eyes and go for the phone 2 . good value for money .

people are going to ask you to wait , but the reality i learned is ( Phone companies launch a new phone every year ) . choosing a model that’s already a proven one is always better .

beyond that , its on your decision 🙏

lexlexus

oops sorry to hear , i can clearly see a huge difference with the ultra hdr mode . and the low light has improved a lot too .

looks like your phone has got some hardware issues .

now before confirming , the majority has seen an improvement .

why don’t you try resetting the device and the camera settings and then give it a try .

thank you .

I’d love to switch to a Nothing phone as well. I had enough of Apple to be fair but my experience with Phone 2 was not as good as I expected. At the time I was switching from iPhone 13 Pro Max and Phone 2 has had some good points for me like the weight of the device, design and software.

However, a few bits I wasn’t able to get past were speaker quality (really disappointed me), microphone quality, cameras were not as good and it took a WHILE for an image to process in the gallery, the last but not least, haptics, that was really bad unfortunately.

Seeing how Nothing as a company actually listens to the community, I am hoping those issues will be fixed for Phone 3, if that will be the case, I’ll be more than willing to give it another go! 😊 In the meantime, I am staying with iPhone 15 Pro.

Anonymous171 OnePlus 12r. Better than Phone 2 in every aspect.

I believe that most phones in same price level as Phone 2 are superiour, if not in all at least in most ways.

Still no management for battery charging, both Apple and Samsung let you chose to stop charging above 80 - 85% of full charge in order to have battery last longer, and if you are not having the phone for the glyphs and widgets it is a phone to replace as soon as finances allow. Resolution in pictures even in brightest of sunshine are below standard and in low light there is more noise than actual picture. Colours in front camera are trying to improve your skin colour and quality, remove wrinkles and though that can be popular it is idiotic. I do not want to look 20 years younger on a picture when looking in a mirror I am not.

Nothing is a company for people liking strange light on the backside of the phone and widgets so as soon as Samsung come out with the S25+ my paid for at introduction- (full) price will go to a family member that is satisfied with this mishap on the phone.

raghulbravo87 the Nothing Phone 3 might be worth the wait for its rumored better performance.

The Phone2 was also rumored to have better performance, which as it is now is not correct unless you compare it to a 2010 phone in the cheaper end.

Phone2 is as good as or maybe even better than the cheapest of phones you can get, so when price of it come down to around 100€ it can be considered a good phone.

Anonymous171 12R is like 700 euros in my country and phone 2 is like 500.

Even thought it’s better, still have to pay 200 euro more to get one.

I don’t have any major issues with my phone 2, works great, fast, smooth, lightweight os, no bloatware, charges fast, has wireless charging.

    Nothing really to complain about.

I don’t play much so don’t care about FPS.

Camera can still be improved, other than that, really nothing to complain about

This is my experience and doesn’t reflects everyone’s experience or expectations.

People are from different countries, they use different country specific apps that may or may not be optimized and may consume more or less battery and also depends on the person type of usage, so yes people’s experience and expectations are different.

The good thing, the market is full of phones for everyone and every budget , so people can always choose what suits them better.

RamzyAmmari In India the phone 2 launched for 45K for 12/256GB variant and OnePlus 12r is 46K for 16/256GB with charger included. And OnePlus has no bloatware and all the features people are requesting here is present in the OnePlus. And yeah it’s all about our own taste, so people who want stock Android exp only have few options and until google perfects their socs most people will choose nothing or moto.

Anonymous171 Ahh, Okz, makes sense then, for you it’s almost the same price , didn’t know that, in Europe it’s too much difference between the two.

And yes, pure android experience is hard to get, either Moto, nothing, pixel, I choose nothing because of the price and features and hopefully regular updates.

If cost is not an issue, wait for phone 3

Or get phone 2 whenever there is sales/discount

lexlexus exactly this as to why i sold my nothing 2 and bought a new iphone. laggy camera shutter; garbage burst shots; noisy night shots; unusable pics past 2x zoom; weird edge distortion on ultrawide; ..i just cant anymore.

RamzyAmmari pure android experience is hard to get

Anonymous171 people who want stock Android exp only have few options

Buy a Samsung; all the bloat in them is easily removed, the hardest is the pesky assistant from Google; but that is the same with all other phones. 3 previous Samsung phones were cleaner than Pixels after just about ½ - 1 hour of removing bloat. Like with Windows, some of it pops up with updates, but then just do the same again.

Waiting for S25+ as paid too much for the stupid phone2 to just throw it away. My little one just got iPhone 15, close to same price as phone2 but with IP68 instead of 54, better camera (videos are actually good), better Bluetooth and a lot of other little things, and after I got the update to 2.5.5 and see NOTHING is improved at all I am pretty sure NOTHING will continue making same discount quality as the 2A as they do not have capacity to make flagships. Phone 3 will probably be another discount model with maybe just higher price.

Paid too much for the Phone2 (more than 600€) so cannot/will not sell it, better feeling is to give it away.

So far I have seen no benefits crying, so being light hearted is what I prefer.

Not blaming anybody for my buying a cheap “flagship” from a relatively new company and that it turned out to be just another low/medium quality phone is what I got from thinking that some of the hype could be coming from more than just the strange (silly) light on the backside of the phone.

Having read about the battery problems on the ear-plugs it is clear that when goal is to have the lightest tiniest things to put in ears to get sound from is not surprising, On Amazon and eBay you can buy earplugs (Edifier has some good sounding ones) several times better and far cheaper than the ones NOTHING make. That the membranes in the ear are chosen because of low weight instead of sound quality is another thing.

For fan-boys thinking that a brand without a name (NOTHING) is what is top of it all, the company will have a chance to sell low quality budget devices.

Where I live the 2A is available on the net, but not sold in any shops, Phone2 were.

Do not like the phones from Apple (my little one has the latest from them) and see no other phones worth trying so will go back to Samsung with all the bloat they have in their phones, the bloat that luckily is very easy to get completely rid of.
