I honestly regret buying the Nothing Phone (2a). The camera is completely unreliable. From day one, trying to scan QR codes in apps like WhatsApp and Google Pay opens the front camera instead of the rear one, making it impossible to scan anything. That’s not just inconvenient — it breaks basic functionality expected from any modern smartphone.
What makes it worse is that the default Camera app itself stops working randomly. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t, and I’ve had to restart the phone multiple times just to take a single photo. I’ve cleared cache, reset permissions, even booted into safe mode — where the camera magically works fine — proving this is a Nothing OS software issue. No third-party apps to blame.
Right now, I’m sitting in a service center, wasting my time trying to get this fixed. I didn’t expect to spend my day this way when I bought a brand-new phone. This is supposed to be a premium, clean experience — but what I got is buggy, frustrating, and honestly embarrassing. This is not acceptable at this price point.
I chose this phone for its hype and clean Android experience, but the camera issues alone have completely killed my trust. Fix this fast, Nothing. Or stop pretending you’re making flagship-quality devices.
