Ear (a) - battery discussion

Recently I have updated the latest firmware for my ear (a). After that left ear bud charges upto 90%. If I put the left earbud alone in the case it will charge upto 100%. Another problem is left earbud draining very fast than right ear bud. Is there any way to fix this?

I’m using the Nothing Ear (a) and I’ve been facing an issue with the battery on the right earbud.

When I turn on noise cancellation, the right earbud drains from full to 0% in just about 1 hour, while the left one lasts significantly longer. This happens consistently, and I’ve tried resetting and re-pairing the earbuds, but it didn’t help.

Both earbuds are updated to the latest firmware, and this issue persists regardless of the device I connect to.

Is anyone else facing a similar problem? Any tips or solutions would be appreciated!

Since the first month, the left side was 5% less, something that has increased over time and now seems to be wrong since the product came out of manufacture.

I have seen similar threads where people talk about this, but the brand does not say anything about it, someone has a solution or answer ?

After using around one year My nothing ear buds left one battery is draining quickly.After full charge battery drains in 15 mints. My ear buds is not under warranty now.What should i do to fix this problem.Can anyone please help me.

NothingHater123 Hey what generic 3.7v battery you used to replace it? is it still the same capacity, li-po or li-ion and whether all other control still works fine?

EdineAmmar its actually a 3.85v li po battery. do not use 3.7v ones. LIR1140 3.85v battery would be ideal but a lower capacity one 1040 35mah i think is more available. its good enough to bring the dead earbud back to life.

yeah everything works fine once the battery is replaced. i used a lower capacity one so it doesnt really last as long as it did originally … maybe 1h less on ANC on and max volume.

I can’t even use them for 1 hour straight !!…. and everytime I pick them up from the case, the right on is always at 15% less battery percentage than the left one….and just after 20 to 30 minutes, the right one will have only 10% battery left whole the left is on 70-80%…. Please fix this issue with some update. People buy your products with a high price and then they can’t even use that peacefully!!…. please look into the matter and fix it as soon as possible. I am encountering this problem for over two months now and there are many other people with the exact same problem !!

I am facing the same issue on the Nothing Ear (2024) the battery is at 85% for the right earbud at all times even after a full charge, and within 15-20 min the right earbud drains and while the left is still around with 75-80% charge.

This problem started immediately after the update, and it’s frustrating that there’s no option to roll back or fix it easily. The Nothing X app offers no help or diagnostic support for this issue.

Basically the same with me as others seem to have.

Right bud only seems to charge to 95% and it drains much faster than the left, 15% warning after maybe 30mins while the other bud is still around 90%.

Has anyone had any luck with warranty or replacement?

My seller agreed to honor the warranty on my Nothing (a) right earbud, which has a battery life of 15 minutes. My seller is asking me to wait a month for the repair to be completed, but China is so far away!

When they come back, I will check the firmware version and look for any signs that the earbud has been opened.
