Same problem. Disconnection.
CMF Watch Pro not connecting to phone when the app isn't open
I have nothing phone 1 and I have the same problem
My watch is still connecting, and I never take it off during the day or night. Heart rate was from Thursday, I’m sure my heart beat is faster also, weird goings-on.
Absolutely unacceptable that this has not yet been fixed.. Bought my watch 2 weeks ago, had this disconnection issue since day one. Totally disheartening to see that apparently in 4 months time nothing has been done to fix this.

I have the exact same problem, sometimes my heart rate doesn’t update and my sleep is never right… I have a lot of problems with this device I’m disappointed with the connection problems…
Rob It is necessary to keep the application in the background at all times, it needs to be updated to avoid connection loss. today is 15/01/2024 and the problem still persists. I cannot receive notifications from WhatsApp because CMF must be open in the background. I do Find My Device to find my device, but I can’t find it because CMF needs to be open in the background. Please resolve this issue now.
Suggestion: maybe if you make 1 widget you can solve this problem!

Recently purchased CMF watch pro , updated the firmware and app both are up to date, still its disconnecting , intermittently , even apps is running in the background, still no messages and calls , really disappointed with it.
ok today new firmware and app update and still the issue. Terrible!!!
yap agree still like no change, it’s going to disconnect
the whatsapp and other apps except imessages notification on iphone didn’t appear on the watch
Unfortunately, the problem persists.
The solution I have found is to block the app from running in the background and it has worked well.
do we know if this problem is actually being looked at?
Razor_Mike Do you mean lock the app in the background? The only way it has worked for me is to lock it in the “Recently Opened” apps tray in the background. I use a Samsung Galaxy phone.
Derren I think it’s just about having feature where we can lock our background apps on our nothing phones and the notifications will come fine after that.
I think there are more issues also, not only being forced to have the app opened in order to receive notifications. There another things that should be easily handled. For example:
- I’m receiving a notification when I’m receiving a WhatsApp message on a muted channel. If I have the channel muted, why on earth should I receive a notification??? It’s really stupid.
- After checking the notification in the phone, I still need to go to the watch and remove the notification. That’s also really bad. The watch should know that this notification doesn’t exists anymore in the mobile and remove it!!
Another thing I would like to mention is why there isn’t any swimming activity in the Watch?? There are super strange sports but not swimming when the watch is water resistant, why??
Really this watch and its software is really far away of being a beta version.
Last version of fw and app here, on Pixel 6. About once in day the app is closed by Android and the connection is lost. I’ve set everything in the right way, and Pixel phones do not have a way to “fix” an app in the recent apps list. I hope this issue will be fixed asap, it’s the only problem I can see with this, otherwise, amazing product.
When playing music through Spotify, changing the volume using the volume controls on the watch don’t lead to a change in volume of the phone.
But the same works when the app is running in the foreground. As soon as i exit the app (please note that the app is running in the background and haven’t been cleared from the RAM), it stops working again. Has anyone encountered this problem?
I’m currently running V11.0.0.50
2024 end of january and still no fix for this…
nothing phone 1, on latest fw,
watch on latest firmware,
App updated..
yet it wont stay connected after a couple of minutes when the app is not in foreground!
all battery optimisations or restrictions for the cmf app are disabled…
FIX THIS… a smartwatch that cant stay smart unless you literally use the device it was meant to support, is not a smartwatch.. just a paperweight
I’ve had it for 5 days. I can return it (not later than 25.february) i will wait for them to fix this issue if it will not be fixed before 25.feb i will return this shit.
