Hello, it’s been a year since i’ve been using Nothing Phone 2.

When I saw the glyph light, the features i’ve always think about was a Always On Glyph.

As you know we have Always On Display to check out the time and essential notification, maybe we could get some exciting features using glyph light.

If any user in this sub have used mechanical keyboard before, it has versatile lighting options like breathing, glowing, keep the light on and etc.

It may sound we might not use that features frequently, but I’m regretful only using glyph as a notification light and flashlight.

How do you think of my discussion? Hope you leave comments about the idea

Thanks 🙂

RedSkul×HYDRA Sure I had tried out the Glyphify by @Fr4nKB, but I wanted a option to always keep the glyph light with versatile patterns or ways. Glyphify doesn’t do that.

As I already mentioned of mechanical keyboard, they have tons of option to lit the backlight. Nothing Phones have glyph light and I wanted to be glowing with versatile ways like heartbeating, breathing, blinking or etc.

_xE_amyvQIu7WW All of those animations are present in Glyphify for Extential notifications.

If I understand correctly you want these type of animations to be played whenever you want (so not just for notifications)?!

I’m personally not interested in this kind of usage, it deviates from the original purpose of Glyphs which is less distractions.
The Glyph interface gets accused of being gimmicky by the day, this would indeed make it more gimmicky.

This is just my take by the way😅

Fr4nKB Before explaining specifically, I admire the work you have made for the Glyphify application.

I like the way the glyph works with notification, etc.

For the answer, yes. Not just for notification but could turn on with versatile patterns like shining, blinking or etc.

As you know, Nothing Phone has Always on Display, I already mentioned above, we could check out the time and other notification with battery level. And it the screen is always staying on dark if the user won’t turn off AOD.

My idea is to use the similar mechanism to glyph light, which has versatile features like mechanical keyboard.
