Charger connected but not charging [CMF phone 1]

I had the most bizarre experience with my CMF Phone 1 today. I was using my regular Realme charger, which had been working fine for almost two weeks since I got the device. It is well-built, charges slowly, but never gave me any trouble until now. Out of nowhere, I noticed my phone kept stopping charging every three to four minutes. I went through every possible cause. \- Thought the socket might be loose, so I switched to a different one. \- Suspected the charging port connection, so I checked with a torch. Everything looked fine. \- Looked for dust, but it was perfectly clean. \- Changed the cable, but the issue remained. \- Switched to an Anker 30W GaN charger, but still had the same problem. \- Even tried PD chargers from Samsung and Moto with no luck. At this point, I started thinking my phone was faulty. I searched "connected, but not charging" on Google since that is what I saw in the battery settings. To my surprise, I found that other Nothing phone users were facing the exact same issue. They also tried swapping chargers and cables frantically, but nothing worked. The funniest part is that even Nothing’s official charger does not solve the problem. Users reported that it comes and goes. One week, everything is fine, and the next, you are suddenly cursed with this issue despite using the same charger and cable. This has to be a software problem, and I have no idea what to do now. Phone charges when it’s switched on too sometimes. It’s completely random and I can’t predict precisely when it’s going to occur next. But this time I’ll take logs and send it to the nothing development team.

I want to return to 2.6 too but my phone is Indian variant and I don’t have an Indian sim card to activate it after a factory reset. All I can do is endure and pray they release it soon.

SpeedMirage I had just bought the phone and updated it to 3.0, thought it was a defective piece and got a new phone and stayed at 2.6…. You’re better off charging at night, since it has a 100% success rate at charging when the phone is switched off….

Uninstall the app which was asked to install to get the beta update. After uninstallation my problem is solved

Did anything worked for you guys?? I’m facing it on 3.0 as well since 2 months and I’m so frustrated thay I smashed my pd charger on wall n broke it.. And without pd charger it chargers well but at slow sleed

SpeedMirage I have the same issue where charging stops randomly. I’ve been using the genuine charger (CMF 33w) . I plug my phone in at night and only to realise in the morning that it’s only 43%.

The FIX was;

It gets fixed when I restart the phone. But not permanent. This is the only thing I hate about this phone and I’m pretty sure it’s not a charger issue.
