Welcome to another edition of the Nothing Community Monthly Photography Challenge! Natalie and I enjoyed reviewing everyone’s submissions for last month’s theme, “Golden Hours”.

This month’s theme is ‘Monochrome - Black & White ⚫⚪’. This theme invites you to capture timeless moments and convey an emotion. This could be a simple moment that represents simplicity and has a special story behind it. Taking away colors from an image highlights the depth of the moment and brings sheer focus to the details and elegance. Make sure to fiddle with different compositions and exposure to frame a timeless moment.

Pic 1 = “Old man on morning walk in winter”; while on a foggy winter morning wanted to click a long exposure photo, the old man walked into the frame making it more interesting

Pic 2 = “Sky Canvas”; After clicking this it almost felt like an artist drew the birds on the beautiful gradient of the sky. This was my first attempt to click a monochrome photo

. It was a very beautiful moment that I took a picture with my phone 1 . I took the picture at noon and there was a very beautiful sun on the flower and I wanted to see how different and beautiful each one was from the other, one with a lot of life and one very opaque.

“Look Up” - a February night sky after a rain. The clouds began to part and peeking through was the moon. Beautifully framed by the evening clouds. Shot on an iPhone 14 Pro. (I’ll be switching to Nothing soon 😉
