Welcome to another edition of the Nothing Community Monthly Photography Challenge! Natalie and I enjoyed reviewing everyone’s submissions for last month’s theme, “Golden Hours”.

Shoutout to @MarkG13, @Bubi, and @MaxVelthuizen for capturing some of our favourite photos last month. You can view their entries here.

This month’s theme is ‘Monochrome - Black & White ⚫⚪’. This theme invites you to capture timeless moments and convey an emotion. This could be a simple moment that represents simplicity and has a special story behind it. Taking away colors from an image highlights the depth of the moment and brings sheer focus to the details and elegance. Make sure to fiddle with different compositions and exposure to frame a timeless moment.

Drop your photos under this post and be sure to share the story behind the image, plus what device and settings you used. Tag #withNothing on social media if you’ve shot with a Nothing Phone. We’ll share our top 3 favourites here on nothing.community.

Below are some examples shot by our community members, @Tamizh and Navneet79 (Discord), using Phone (1) and Phone (2a), respectively.

Enjoy shooting – we look forward to seeing your amazing shots!

“Look Up” - a February night sky after a rain. The clouds began to part and peeking through was the moon. Beautifully framed by the evening clouds. Shot on an iPhone 14 Pro. (I’ll be switching to Nothing soon 😉

Shot on Phone (2a), edited in Lightroom App. It was a car exhibit in our campus fest. The car reflections yielded some interesting results ✨

More wood for their fires, loud neighbors

Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck

Eating seeds as a pastime activity

The toxicity of our city, of our city

    • System of a down - Toxicity

Hi, I was wondering are we still able to enter this challenge if these photos are from another phone or a professional camera? Or is this only for Nothing Phones?

    Thank you
