krizxjr Heat does, nothing else. So doing heavy gaming while still charging is not recommended, as you get heat from playing game(s) and also from charging the battery.
But gaming once it’s charged (to set %) and still connected to a charger is completely fine because phone’s battery won’t be used that way at all, it will take all necessary power straight from the wall. Same like phones with removable batteries used to work perfectly fine when connected but with their batteries removed.
Hotspot is not intensive as gaming, clearly, but the same principle applies. Light general usage is not a problem. Just set to 70-80% charging limit and you are fine, then charge to 100% once you need full juice.
