Dear Nothing Team,

I recently installed the latest software update on my Nothing phone, expecting improved camera performance and smoother operation. While the update itself brought some nice refinements, the camera experience has unexpectedly worsened in a few areas:

Transitioning from 1x to 2x zoom is now noticeably slower and not as smooth as before.
The rear camera struggles significantly in low-light conditions.
The front camera performs very poorly in low light, especially at night.
Portrait mode has degraded, with poor edge detection and inconsistent background blur.
Overall camera detail and image quality have slightly dropped compared to the previous version.

I was genuinely happy with the camera performance before this update, so the decline is quite noticeable. I request that these issues be addressed in an upcoming update and the previous quality be restored, if not improved.

Thank you for your attention. Looking forward to better camera optimization in future releases.

Having fast battery consuming issue in normal usages! ❝ Galaga-V3.2-250425-1517 ❞ this version was good enough for battery and camera performance. Blue one is before update and other one is after update. Before in normal usages 12-13hr screen time and now 10-11hrs only 🙂

Sorry, but this issue hasn’t been fixed with this update yet. I still don’t receive notifications when my phone is idle, and when I pick it up, all the notifications arrive at once

I bought the phone on 23rd of this June, then when the update is coming I use cmf 2pro 8/256 Indian version. But suddenly this problem is coming in the phone update. Is it a problem in everyone’s phone or will it be fixed later or is it a bug? If you have seen the comment, please fix it somehow

I updated my CMF Phone 2 the other day to Nothing OS 3.2 and ever since then I’ve been unable to download most apps from the play store. They just get stuck on a certain percent and never install. I’ve also noticed that YouTube is really laggy and most of the time won’t load videos. I’ve tried to update YouTube, but that also gets stuck at a certain percent and won’t budge. I’ve disabled it, cleared the cache, enabled it again and still nothing works.

Is anyone else having this issue? My phone was working fine before the update, so I’m assuming it just be that.

Good news for those who were facing camera quality issues and fast battery drain after updating their CMF Phone 2 Pro! ✨🎉

You’re advised to perform a factory reset, which will likely resolve these problems. The issues occurred because the new updates didn’t properly integrate with the existing firmware. Before performing the reset, make sure to back up all your important documents and data.

For users outside of India who are using the Indian variant of the phone — please contact your seller or the store to confirm whether your device is factory unlocked. If it’s not factory unlocked, performing a reset may trigger a country lock, which could prevent you from using your device properly.

Just dropping a quick note about a small visual glitch I noticed on the CMF Phone 2 Pro, in case others are seeing it too.

🔁 1. Shadow/Ghosting While Scrolling Tabs (60Hz):

When switching from 120Hz to 60Hz refresh rate, I noticed a shadow or ghosting effect — especially during vertical scrolling in apps like Instagram and the Settings app.

💬 What exactly happens:

While scrolling on screens with tabs at the top, the content moves smoothly, but a shadow appears just below the tab section, almost like the shadow isn’t moving in sync with the rest of the UI. It’s like the tab bar has moved, but the shadow stays for a second. Subtle, but definitely noticeable.

🔋 2. Why I’m on 60Hz:

I switched to Standard mode (60Hz) to reduce battery drain since 120Hz was pulling more power during casual usage (Instagram, YouTube, Spotify).

The 60Hz mode helps save battery, but this small visual glitch is something I just wanted to flag.

⚙️ 3. I’ve Also Reported a Couple of Other Issues:

Just so the devs have a full picture — I’ve already shared some feedback earlier like:

Call drops / voice breaking (even with Wi-Fi Calling enabled)

Battery draining quicker than expected during regular non-gaming use

🙏 Hopefully, these can be addressed in a future OTA update to refine the experience even more. Just sharing this here for awareness — not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.

Hello Fellow CMF and Nothing device users and moderators. I’m running Nothing OS 3.2, Build: Galaga-V3.2-250616-1258. It has been noticed on my CMF Phone 2 Pro that when I do a screen recording of anything with device audio, it has some weird music when playing back the saved recording. It doesn’t play that music when recording but once saved it has some weird music. I will attach my screen recordings for reference from my little brother’s CMF Phone 2 Pro Since mine is charging at the moment. (Btw don’t question the game he was playing lol, I do love how he can shift a manual, hope he knows how to shift and drive a real one when he turns 16)
