Firmware (bot) Presets stops working… camera app gets crashed when we choose for Presets…

Is it all presets? Like this one, which I really like?

I got this from someone else here and I really like it.

Issue is resolved for me.

Go to Camera Settings> Presets and delete blank preset.

Again, go to Camera Settings> Presets > Restore default preset deleted.

It will work and Stretch Preset will be available too.

kagerointheriver good. There are some intense issues on the previous one that I am trying to sort with using HDR on/off or UXDR on/off. This sounds very nice. A little late though as England is grey for the next few months.

Is this the new update and the camera app doesn’t work at all?

My advice would be to uninstall it via settings. And sideload the newest camera app at APK mirror, which I run on my NP3 fine.

Some users have said that the camera is much improved.

Can you be more clear about what version of the camera app you have and when/how it’s crashing?

CMF1_hacker Yes i have installed the newest update.

After clearing the cache of the camera app, IT IS working again. BUT trying to Open camera presets, running directly into a force close of the App.

ChristianHeber interesting. I have found way to crash the app with presets as I have shown above but spoofing a non ZIP linked URL in the QR code. This sounds similar. Run my QR code above through a QR decoder and any other QR code from a shared preset.

I don’t have the newest APK. Otherwise, I would ask chatGPT5pro to compare it to the current APK for changes.

If you run into a copy of the camera APK, you could DM me and I could run it through chatGPTpro and JADX to highlight differences.

That’s quite a shame as the coding for the presets is dead simple, so I’m confused where it went wrong.

I guess we in the UK again are lucky as we always get it a fortnight later than the continent and the kinks usually get worked out.

Received today the second NP3 for the house (changing from Oneplus which have always been free of any bug for us) , i already feel bad having to explain that the wifi doesn’t really works… what i have done 😅

Stereobasic Mine also replaces a OnePlus (8T) and I’m delighted - especially with the software update schedule so far (a massive OnePlus fail) - but then I don’t have any WiFi issues myself…

Weirdly #1: I never got a push notification that this update was available as I did for every previous update but it was waiting for me when I went to Settings/About Phone/etc without having to Check For Updates..

Weirdly #2: around 3 weeks ago out of the blue, my phone started to severely overheat and drain the battery while running (wireless) Android Auto in particular which seemed to continue even after end of journey. I was having to Force Stop the app when not in use to control it. Streaming podcasts also seemed to use more battery than usual. Throughout I was barely getting a full day’s use from full charge when previously I’d have at least 30% left… I was on the point of resetting Android Auto back to factory version or factory resetting the whole device if that didn’t help when suddenly ~a week ago it just as suddenly went back to normal again. I’d put this down to Google making a server-side fix to Android Auto since the app hadn’t been updated. So, weird to see the battery/overheating fixes on this release “after the fact”…

Please let me know how you feel the haptics are on Phone 3 compared to the last device or any flagship devices with good haptics feel. Whether it be Apple , google , oneplus .

Sergio_NpbMkKfUso i’m delighted too, otherwise I wouldn’t have bought a second one, but yes this wifi issues since last update is becoming really annoying as it’s with my main wifi. I don’t know what to do. Hoping next update solve the issue. And as it happens only with the phone 3 I know it’s a problem from Nothing (having lot of brand connected on this wifi with no issues since 15 years ).

After the update, the camera has an issue: it can’t access the presets, exits automatically, and a restart doesn’t resolve it.
