Anonymous931 hey it’s not mean that i am not fraustrated because of this phone but as a user why i cant tell team to improve or new features that can competitive with other brands we’re asking basic things from the android had done with on Android 5,6,7… which hasn’t been there now and asking for basic lockscreen customisation and home screen ur telling me wrong ,like to switch to other brands

If we leave like this ,just don’t need to bring any features because it’s our motto of simple design don’t you think this same mistake done by other brands how long they are able to withstand it

Not really sure why is it difficult to grasp that blindly copying others just to look like them is NOT a new feature to bring to your users 🤷‍♂️ If they can do improvements on that part AND KEEP usability as it is then I’m all for it. If they want to blur this, blur that, transparency here, transparency there, add gimmick here and gimmick there, all of that without any function in regular day to day usage… Well sorry but I’m not for that and many other phones on the market have exactly that (which makes them frustrating and terrible to use).

Next claim is there’s no sidebar - I show him he goes “that’s a popup” 😆 He still can’t answer a single question I asked him, he just wants to be annoyed with his phone after deep four-month long research he did before buying it 🫠 You are correct though.

Because on every single existing Android phone features like YouTube background play are blocked by Google themselves as they unlock that if you buy YouTube premium. You can listen/play with Firefox or other apps but you don’t want to, you are strictly against all options and even against paying for YouTube Premium to have it work 😁

We can be making posts and threads about features and gimmicks that we all want, but ultimately Nothing and the development team have the final nail in the coffing. They might see a few thing here and there, but if they have a clear path and vision for their OS, then we just have to let things happens.

Apart from quite terrible lock screen but then again if you spend hours and hours and hours looking at the locked screen you have some bigger issues to work on…

Just leave it I am not sure why nothing needs a community for only issues to report rather than posting users suggests on but to keep the phone whatever nothing offers like in future even they removed every features currently available we have to enjoy idk how to do that
But overall I can tell that i am satisfied with camera, smoothness and other things of glyph for 4 month research as per my pov except some missing features

Pixel a series exists. As far as I remember, Google pixel 8a base varient was much cheaper than the 3a pro. If he doesn’t want to get a Chinese brands like (OnePlus, xiaomi, vivo). He could easily get a pixel a series.

Pixel has all those features he’s looking for. I don’t know what kind of research he did for four months. 😐

You could simply use third party apps. There are enough that provide it for free, for example newpipe.
Btw with Spotify free you can hear music in the background

It is. In a side bar you can configure which apps or actions you want to have and with that you can open them instantly without the need to start them manually by leaving your current app or instantly start an action like screen recording. Furthermore they should add an folder where you can acces all apps

With the sidebar you can opening any app in pop up view. In nothing you first need to quit your current app, make the new one as popup view and later you can put up to two apps at the side. That’s no the same

Yes it works same us pop up view but u can just open any apps while in current app right which is more easier than our pop view where u have to jump to another app to get pop up view

I asked for double tap to sleep in lock screen so that the screen doesn’t wake much more time since the screen time I set is 10mins
For changing clock styles,live wallpapers, multiple pics on lockscreen screen idk why I have to use different launchers for these,which is already existed in Android
So if ur scrolling utube insta or anything,if u want to see the devices connected with hotspot by jumping to settings and see it,or just scrolling the notification panel from where u scrolling (basic features)

Nicouschulas You could simply use third party apps. There are enough that provide it for free, for example newpipe.

Of course, but why multiple apps when just one is more than enough to replace them all equally efficiently and even better (can’t have multiple open tabs in Newpipe, for example, so to switch later on them)? Plus that one is easily the best browser in the game (Brave is great, yes, but Firefox has far more versatile addons).

Yes, correct. I still don’t understand why is locking already locked screen necessary but that’s just me I guess 🤷‍♂️ Then again, the power button does that already, and pressing once is quicker than tapping twice, heh.

Btw, if you set a trusted device it will stay unlocked in its proximity so double tap will effectively turn off the screen like it was locked.

In a side bar you can configure which apps or actions you want to have and with that you can open them instantly without the need to start them manually by leaving your current app or instantly start an action like screen recording. Furthermore they should add an folder where you can acces all apps

With the sidebar you can opening any app in pop up view. In nothing you first need to quit your current app, make the new one as popup view and later you can put up to two apps at the side. That’s no the same

My friend, that’s the textbook definition of what I have on my Redmi and I showed you that with the video above. Ok different apps in the video but I can customise whatever I want including screen recording and everything else you’ve mentioned. How is Nothing’s implementation any different? Talking about Nothing OS 4.0, of course 🤨 (it’s exactly as you said for 3.x and older) Is that two apps like the limit or what? I mean I didn’t see it in action, just in that trailer, but it was described as a sidebar under some different name…

Oh c’mon nothing isn’t separate company like huawei,they are using Android platform right I am just asking for it which already existed in Android like simpler things displaying connected devices in hotspot, sidebar, changing clock colours, adjusting size of it but what you people will users 3rd party launchers to do that sounds really weird

Yes if course it’s hard to accept mistakes & rectify it but easy to mock and overshadow the issues
