After NOS 4.0 update the fingerprint scanner ring size sometimes shows up smaller in glance screen and it doesn’t scan finger from glance screen when this scenario occurs.has anyone encountered this issue

After updating to NO.S 4.0

Here are the issues started happening with my device.

Google Services Framework ID is Not Showing.
In Playstore Device Is not certified.
I can’t use my WhatsApp it frequently says that device not certified.
I’m unable to use Chat GPT.
Unable To Login X app.

I tried everything cleared cache, factory reset, cleared data and one more thing I didn’t try to flash any rom I just updated and these things started happening.

Will it be fixed on next patch update…?

yeah bro I’m using an CMF Phone 2 pro and I’m also facing this issue and it is because the Google pre authentication API is missing from our devices with this software update so we want to wait for the patched Hot-fix update and also we can find GSF ID by entering **#*#426#*#* on your default phone dialer. So it will open an app called FCM diagnostics (google play service) and enable Advanced mode in the 3 dot menu and you can see your Device ID there that’s the GSF ID. And also even if you find the GSF ID you can’t successfully Certify the device by entering GSF ID on Google device registration website, the website will show the device successfully registered but it will not effect your device because we are facing this issue because the Google Play Pre authentication API is completely missing from our devices so we can’t fix this without the integration of API on our device so we want to wait for software update. Apart from that I am also facing issues on chat gpt I can’t login to it, but I am not facing any issues on WhatsApp or X or any other apps all are working properly.

I updated my CMF Phone 1 to NOS 4.0 on the first day of its release. During the first two or three days, I didn’t face any issues. However, later I noticed that charging stops at 90%. Instead of increasing, the battery level drops to 89% or 88% and gets stuck there. I then have to unplug and plug in the charger again for it to charge to 100%.

I’m not sure whether this is a bug or if OS 4.0 limits charging by default. Could someone please suggest a solution?

Note: The battery charging limit was already turned off when this issue occurred.

I updated my CMF Phone 1 from Android 15 to Nothing OS 4 (Android 16) through the system update. The update went fine and the phone worked normally at first.

After a few days, incoming and outgoing calls completely stopped working. I’m using two SIMs, and the issue happens on both.
SMS and mobile data work perfectly, only voice calls don’t.

I did a factory reset, and the problem was fixed — but only for one day. Then the same issue came back. Resetting the phone every day is not possible.

This problem started only after the OS update, so it looks like a software bug.

Is anyone else facing this?
A permanent fix or workaround is needed urgently.

sumonshekhbp i also faced the same problem previously on my Nothing Phone 2. However, after numerous discussions with the Nothing support team, my problem was resolved.

"Please try the following:

Go to Settings
Security and privacy
Advanced Protection
Disable Device protection

After turning off Device Protection, please restart your Nothing Phone and test a call to see if the problem is resolved."

That was Nothing’s engineer’s suggestion, and it’s worked for me.

Womey Amazing work Nothing! So perhaps waiting to update is a decent decision for myself. I mean 60hz???? holy. If this is only for games I guess it’s not a huge deal breaker for me since I don’t play too many games but still I’d rather wait before updating from a major android version it is always best to wait imo. It’s like waiting to update from Win 10 to 11 as soon as 11 comes out you’re going to experience more bugs obviously. Best to wait till at least next update I’d say or honestly the one after that even is my recommendation.

I’m probably just going to wait it out hopefully someone comes up with an alternative to Iconify for A16+ because that’s really the only thing that holds me back from updating.
