Hey, everyone! Wishing all a happy 2026 ahead! Let’s use this as the megathread for the wishlist for the upcoming year. This thread is all about suggesting cool new features, fixes, and improvements for Nothing OS as we move beyond version 4.0. The Nothing team has been super receptive and open to user feedback, so this is our chance to make our voices heard. Please add the “screen off” feature within the Game Mode to keep games running with the screen completely black.

Hi Nothing Team & Community,

I would like to suggest a feature request for Nothing OS.

It would be great if the Clock app timer could include a “Stop Playing” option (similar to iPhone’s sleep timer feature), allowing the timer to automatically stop music, podcasts, or any media playback when the countdown ends.

This feature is very useful for users who:

Listen to music before sleeping

Play podcasts or audiobooks at night

Want to save battery while media is playing

Currently, we need to rely on third-party apps or in-app sleep timers (if available), but having this built directly into Nothing OS would provide a smoother and more integrated experience.

Nothing OS focuses on clean and thoughtful features — I believe this would align perfectly with that philosophy.

Hi Nothing team,

I really like the Nothing OS design language, especially the lockscreen wallpapers. One issue I’ve noticed is that the lockscreen media control panel feels too large and hides most of the wallpaper.

A smaller, more minimal and aesthetic media panel (or a collapsible version) would keep media controls accessible while preserving the lockscreen’s visual appeal.

I think this change would improve usability and better match Nothing’s clean design philosophy.

Is there anyone here who has knowledge or an idea about audio separation, for example between a Bluetooth speaker and the phone speaker?

The scenario is like this: for example, you want to play music via Bluetooth using Spotify. While the music is playing through Bluetooth, you want to scroll through Facebook. In this case, the music gets interrupted and the Facebook audio starts playing through the Bluetooth speaker. You have no other choice but to stop Facebook and just let Spotify continue playing.

My point is that I hope there could be an enabled option on the Nothing Phone where you can separate the audio per app, choosing whether it plays through Bluetooth or the phone speaker. That way, even if Spotify is playing via Bluetooth, you’re free to scroll through Facebook without interrupting the music, since Facebook’s audio would play through the phone speaker instead.

Honestly, I’ve seen this feature on Samsung, and maybe Nothing Phone could adapt it as well, because it’s a very useful feature. I’m hoping this reaches the developers.

I really like the clean and minimal experience of Nothing OS. The UI feels smooth and premium. However, I want to suggest one improvement related to the wallpaper setting feature.

Currently, when setting a wallpaper, there is no proper pinch-to-zoom or zoom-out option to freely adjust the image. Because of this, every time I want to change my wallpaper, I have to manually resize or crop the image before applying it.

I personally like switching wallpapers frequently, but adjusting them every time becomes time-consuming.

It would be amazing if Nothing OS could add an iOS-style wallpaper adjustment feature where users can:

Pinch to zoom in and zoom out

Freely reposition the image

Preview properly before setting

Maintain original image quality

This small improvement would greatly enhance user experience, especially for people who enjoy customizing their device.

I hope the team considers this in future updates 🤍

I as a student, use the recorder app everyday. It is the most important thing on this phone for me. I would like to make a quality of life suggestion for it. If possible, please allow us to add audio files in the recorder app so that audios that have been recorded via other methods like a different nothing phone or call recordings, can be accessed and stored in the recorder app itself. The ui and segregation of the recorder app, as well as the beautiful controls while accessing a recording are the best features of the app (except for the fact that the togglable circle was nerfed)

Please allow recordings from other sources be played by the recorder interface.

The Issue: > When I unhide photos/videos (especially old ones) from the “Hidden” folder, they get scattered in the main gallery based on their original date. Since I have thousands of photos, I have to scroll endlessly to find what I just unhidden.

The Suggestion: > Please add a feature to “Unhide to a Specific Folder” or “Restore to New Album.” This would allow us to immediately see and manage the media we just brought out of the hidden section.

This would be a huge UX improvement for the Nothing Gallery app!
