Hey, everyone! Wishing all a happy 2026 ahead! Let’s use this as the megathread for the wishlist for the upcoming year. This thread is all about suggesting cool new features, fixes, and improvements for Nothing OS as we move beyond version 4.0. The Nothing team has been super receptive and open to user feedback, so this is our chance to make our voices heard. Hi Nothing Team and Community,

With the upcoming launch of the Phone (4a) and the focus on a “flagship-level experience,” I’d love to suggest a software feature that would take Nothing OS’s minimalist aesthetic to the next level: Wallpaper Depth Effect.

We’ve seen how beautiful the “layered” look can be on other platforms (where the clock sits slightly behind elements like mountains or buildings). Given Nothing’s unique dot-matrix typography and oversized clock widgets, this effect would look incredible.

This filter is only available in the Camera app. I’d love to edit some of my photos with this filter. I hope this will be added in a soon update.

Team Nothing, can you guys please add some basic options in Nothing Gallery, like Pinch and Rotate the image .. everytime I’ve to rotate images in bulk, I’ve to go to edit and then rotate and then save a copy of that image… it would be great if we get a update on that please.

Also I wanted to say that, the visual changes that we got in OS 4, shouldn’t we get an option to use the old icons as well? Like I was obsessed with the old gallery icon and the recorder interphase bruh!! I hope Nothing Team reads this 😭🥀

I want CFM nothing phone 2 so I really would like some features in the next updates, please.

Needful must haves:

1. Ability to restrict and allow Wi-Fi and data access to individual apps

2. Nothing button should have the choice of app+functionTrigger within that app. e.g. cameraApp+captureTrigger, speechnoteApp+dictationTrigger,

3. Ability to open apps like calculator directly in pop up mode or at least one button on top that makes the calculator semi transparent and in pop up mode.

3.1. The calculator Should follow the Indian decimal system like comma every two decimal points in lakh and crore. (not in million. i know its google app but nothing should make its own basic app suite) also give m+m-mc functions.

4. Overnight slow charging mode should also have a charge limit % slider like fast charging mode have.

Nothing PC suite. (Big selling point of nokia smartphones was its PC Suite. iPhone got accepted because of apple integration) Sometimes you just want to do stuff on phone with PC. Organising gallery, app clean-up, reminder,camedar, planner etc just great with pc suite.

Wishful to haves:

6. Charging mode should allow disabling fast charging or limit 10w 18w etc and charge upper limit%

7. In recent apps, close all button at bottom would be nice.

8. Native picture editor (maybe some machine learned functions, basic onboard AI agent)

9. Nothing Dialer with automatic call recording (no announcement message), Nothing SMS app dual SIM, Nothing app timer support, Nothing Clock, Nothing Calendar, Nothing Calculator, Nothing reminder, Nothing Planner, Nothing dictation notes.

If nothing developers are reading this, fist few are must haves. It’s shame that we have to ask for it.

Do you think the status bar needs to be redesigned? It’s not convenient, and it’s terrible to swipe down twice. I think it would be great to split it into two like on an iPhone, with the left side showing notifications and the right side showing settings.

Aryan-Chauhan I wanna make a suggestion can y’all have more black and white themed icons that’s would be I do like the nothing phone stuff I just bought a nothing phone 3a pro and CMF watch 3 pro off eBay this my 1st nothing phone but just would love to see more black and white stuff would be nice

Please provide a pop up option to attend and stay in call while using maps. In Gesture mode there is an option for this but I feel it’s not user friendly. In 3 button navigation mode the calls interrupting the smooth running of maps by occupying the whole screen. I was using Samsung phones earlier and this is my first Nothing phone. In Samsung it was so easier to attend calls while on map. Also there was an option that allows you to call or message people by just sliding the contact on your list to right side or left side. Please consider this and do the needful. Thank you. Except these things I feel comfortable with Nothing phone.

Could we have something like Routines , if I do this , do that kind of automation , someway to use our phones lesser or reduce interaction.

Hi Nothing Team,

I am using the Nothing Phone (3) with the latest Nothing OS version.

I noticed that whenever I am on a Messenger call and I either receive a normal SIM call or try to make one, the phone shows the message:

“Placing this call will end your Messenger call.”

After pressing OK, the Messenger call immediately disconnects instead of being put on hold.

On my previous phone, Messenger calls were not disconnected — they were simply muted or kept in the background while handling the SIM call.

I would like to request a feature improvement where:

Messenger (or other VoIP calls) can be put on hold instead of being disconnected

Or at least allow both sessions to coexist temporarily

This would greatly improve multitasking and call handling experience.
