Hey, everyone! Wishing all a happy 2026 ahead! Let’s use this as the megathread for the wishlist for the upcoming year. This thread is all about suggesting cool new features, fixes, and improvements for Nothing OS as we move beyond version 4.0. The Nothing team has been super receptive and open to user feedback, so this is our chance to make our voices heard. Some points to note though: • Apart from sharing your feedback here, please consider sending feedback via Settings > System > Feedback, since that's the official way of sending OS related feedback to Nothing. • This thread is not for reporting bugs related to respective models. • Scroll through first to avoid reposting the same suggestion that has already been posted. • Keep it constructive and meaningful so that everyone can resonate with your views. • If you feel connected with a suggestion, feel free to like or react to it to kind of upvote it, thus showing the team how much a particular feature is wanted by the users. As Nothing phones have the option to add luts and filters in photos. Soo I have an suggestion that the should add luts and presets in video mode that would be soo cool. As it will help us to give a cinematic videos .😭✨. Crazy af

It could be interesting for people that don’t use auto bright to have a quick brightness control over swapping the top of screen from left to write to increase and the opposite to decrease.

We’ve been waiting for this from the very beginning, and honestly… it feels disappointing that it’s still missing.

Nothing talks about mindful tech and clean design. But today’s reality is different. People are stuck on their phones for hours. Time is getting wasted. Eyes are getting strained. Focus is getting weaker. We all know this.

A real strict Zen Mode should have been one of the first features. Not just a Focus Mode that we can exit anytime — but a true lock where we choose discipline and the phone supports us, not tempts us.

This is not just about productivity. It’s about health. It’s about control. It’s about protecting our time.

Nothing OS 4.0 is here. Many updates came. But this basic and powerful feature is still missing.

I say this with respect, because I genuinely like the brand.

But please — think about this seriously.

This is the the very serious concern to address

Many of us genuinely need it

We need support brakes/disconnect, for us, for friends & family, for socializing.

Hi Nothing Team,

I’ve been using the phone for a while now and really enjoy the clean experience. However, after coming from Samsung One UI, there are a few features I miss and some areas where I think improvements could make the experience even better.

🔐 Lock Screen

Double tap to turn off screen from lock screen – Currently, double tap works on the home screen, but having it available directly on the lock screen would improve usability.

🔔 Notifications

Notification bubble behavior – When a new message arrives (e.g., on WhatsApp), the bubble shows all unread chats instead of only the newly received message. It would be cleaner if it highlighted just the latest notification.

🔘 Essential Button & Essential Apps

Customizable Essential Button – Allow users to remap or customize its function.

Scan from Gallery – Essential Apps currently require live scanning. It would be helpful to allow scanning/importing from the gallery as well.

📸 Camera

Image sharpness improvement – Photos sometimes appear slightly soft or blurry. Possibly increasing shutter speed or optimizing processing could improve clarity.

Gesture to switch cameras – Sliding up/down in the camera app to quickly switch between front and rear cameras would make one-handed use smoother.

🌗 Display & Brightness

Auto-brightness tuning – Occasionally, brightness increases even in a completely dark room.

Extra Dim – Would be great if this could go even dimmer for night usage.

✋ One-Handed Usability

Reachability improvements – Something similar to Samsung’s reachability implementation (where content scrolls down for easier access) would help with large screens.

One-handed mode refinement – Currently, the screen appears trimmed rather than proportionally minimized, and typing becomes difficult. A scaled-down UI approach would work better.

Overall, I really appreciate the design philosophy and direction. These suggestions mainly come from daily usability and features I previously relied on. I believe implementing some of these would significantly enhance the experience.

From what i understand the horizon lock feature that samsung has is a really easy software feature so it would be nice to add since its a simple software feature

Hi Nothing Team,

I really love the design language and minimal aesthetic of the Nothing Phone 3a. The AOD looks clean and premium.

However, I would love to request a few additional features for the Always On Display:

• More clock style options (including digital + analog variations)

• Custom widgets (weather, step counter, calendar events)

• More notification interaction (quick preview or reply option)

• Custom font style or limited color accent option

• Option to schedule AOD brightness or animation

These additions would make the AOD more functional while maintaining Nothing’s unique design identity.

Subject: Feedback Regarding Inbuilt Document Viewer in Nothing Phone

Dear Nothing Team,

I am writing to provide feedback regarding the Nothing Phone. We have noticed that unlike other smartphones (e.g., Samsung, Xiaomi, Oppo, OnePlus, Vivo), the Nothing Phone does not come with an inbuilt document viewer for files like PDFs.

When using third-party apps for this purpose, such as Adobe Reader, we encounter a significant number of advertisements, which negatively impacts the user experience.

We would appreciate it if you could consider integrating an inbuilt document viewer in future updates to enhance the functionality and user experience of the Nothing Phone.

Nothing team I have a small suggestion

It would be really cool if future Nothing phones had a “Nothing Log” video profile similar to Apple Log

A lot of creators use smartphones for filming and a Log profile would help with better color grading and dynamic range I think this could make Nothing phones even more creator friendly

Hope you guys consider this in future updates or devices 👀

Hey guys suup! So I just recently got the nothing phone 2 pro, loving every minute of it, however part of why I’ve always loved and used android phones was coz of the ability to personalize and customize my devices. I’ve noticed with nothing phones the font style is standard,just hoping if y’all could do something about it 🤔😊
